Absolutely wonderful place!!! Food was beautiful and delicious. It felt like homemade Service was kind, knowledgeable, and prompt. My youngest is gluten free and they made his “sandwich” look really nice on the plate, all chopped up and ready to eat! Thank you for going above and beyond. When we order a sandwich without the bread other places, there is not nearly the attention to detail It was nice that it was quiet enough to enjoy conversation with those we met for lunch, with music low in the background. TVs low enough for conversion at a normal speaking level. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Cafe Serendipity is conveniently located near Lowes in Newton, where there is a dearth of food options outside McDonalds and Burger King. It’s a clean, open space with a decent amount of seating. The temperature is usually on the colder side, and I wouldn’t say it is overly cozy. I’ve ordered here with some frequency over the last few years, usually when I am out running errands. I’d say the food quality is mediocre, and the prices have ballooned to levels I would say are prohibitive to the average consumer based on the amount of food you’re getting. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap with mozzarella, balsamic, roasted red peppers, etc. the other day and was surprised that it was $17. For a smallish wrap, it’s really too costly. The cafe throws in a bag of chips, but I’ve never asked for one. You can get a very similar (larger) sandwich at A&G Pizza in Branchville for $4 less. I’m not sure why the consumer would want to pay 30% more for less quality, outside of the fact that there are no other cafes or delis in the immediate area. The Hampton Diner, which is notorious for being expensive (but good quality) has a similar wrap called the California which is also somewhat expensive at $15, so I’d guess that’s what Serendipity is basing its prices on. I realize all food prices are inflated right now, but Serendipity should be charging $12 max for its wraps, and based on the size, they’re not far off what you’re getting from Quick Check at half the price. At the cafeteria near my job, it’s $8 for a wrap. I’ll still check in from time to time at this cafe, but the prices are pushing me away.

Cafe Serendipity is a family owned and operated eat in deli. It doesnt matter what you order. Everything is good.
The Italian is a great go to as well and the breakfast sandwiches. Looking for a change. Try the tacos. They are fresh ! Say hello to Deb and Young Milton at the counter.
Great place great food!

Nice clean establishment & staff were nice. I’ve had a couple of breakfast sandwiches that were just subpar. The 1st was a bit disappointing, quality of the Taylor Ham was good, but the egg was overcooked & the quality of the roll although it was soft & felt fresh the texture was spongy & too chewy. The 2nd had bacon & again the quality of the roll is the same issue, egg not overcooked this time (not sure why, but a nice change) but unfortunately the bacon is pre-cooked, it was hard & stiff like a board, no give to it at all which I feel it’s not freshly made & just waiting on the side for orders to come in. I’ve definitely had better breakfast sandwiches other than here. Hash browns are store bought & probably done in an air fryer & super crunchy. Did try the breakfast Western Omelet & this was pretty good as well as the potatoes & sausage patties.
I really wanted to like & enjoy everything, but if looking for a quick bite, overall it’s a good place to stop at.

Empanadas are good, but do NOT get subs here! I got an Italian Sub and the meat was bad! I called to let them know and she said “That’s weird I only sliced them a couple days ago”. Excuse me? I said, “you slice the cold cuts in advance?” She said “yea to make it easier”. Disgusting. No wonder their cold cuts went bad! God knows how long they actually sit around.

Just found this place today and I loved my lunch. I had a cheese steak that was very reasonably priced and NOT your typical cheese steak made with cheap steak ums, this was as fresh as if you made it at home and so very yummy!
Very clean too, I work in the industry and this place has quality products and is very clean! Food so far is delicious!!
Will make this place my regular.

Went on a whim because there’s not really any good breakfast joints in the town of Newton. Well cafe serendipity is just that, a really great place for a bite to eat. Got the “fat pat” and it was amazing. 10/10 will be back again.
