Absolutely Loved the courtboullion!!! Highly recommend it!! Live jazz music was perfect. Old historic building. It was a little warm upstairs. But the food was too good to complain

What an experience! Don’t let the construction in the area stop you from eating here. You won’t be disappointed. The staff were extremely nice and professional. The food was amazing. Eating at historic local places should be on the list of your dining experiences. This place was recommended to us by our tour guide and it didn’t disappoint.

This was such a great meal, it was probably the best food I had in New Orleans on my last trip.
The crab cakes were superb and the fish, so delicious. We went back for a lunch too.
Terrific staff too…. A real highlight, don’t miss it if you like fantastic fresh seafood and quality service in a very elegant space ❤️

We’ve been coming for years and the food has been consistently great. Doesn’t have the gimmicks of some other places riding on their aging reputation (and at times an aging clientele ) but here the kitchen is not scared of seasoning! The fried oysters and the trout are a must.

This place hit every mark. The interior is beautifully decorated. The service was immaculate from start to finish. The food greatly exceeded my expectations. The Fried Oysters are a MUST have.

Everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic! All of the seafood dishes were so delicious and well made. The restaurant was able to accommodate our large group at the last minute and they were efficient and friendly with the service. Great wine selection as well.

The food was delicious. The service was top-notch. It was like watching “worker bees”. Every staff member helping each other out. Every staff member very attentive and at your table at the right time. Live music while there was a compliment to the atmosphere. As mentioned, the food was delicious. It is a can’t miss in New Orleans.

Loved the whole experince. The service was top tier and the food was truly delicious. The best meal on this quick trip to NOLA. We had the oysters, creole catfish topped with a pecan sauce, the star of the show. I didn’t think it could get any better but dessert was so yummy a bread pudding cake with ice cream and cheesecake with more pecans!

This was, without a doubt, one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had at a finer restaurant. We were really looking forward to a special evening out during our trip, and while the atmosphere was beautiful, the tables felt a bit too close together. The food was decent, but nothing truly stood out. The shrimp and grits were fine, though the shrimp were overcooked. The turtle soup was enjoyable and a fun dish to try, while the court bouillon was a bit too large for one person and, again, just nothing special.

What really took away from the experience, though, was the service. As this was meant to be a memorable date night, we were excited, but unfortunately, our server didn’t meet expectations. He seemed disorganized, taking our order twice, and when I ordered wine, he incorrectly told me I was wrong. While we understand it was later in the evening and nearing closing time, there were still other tables being served. To make matters worse, he even asked the table next to us if they wanted to order entrees after they had already finished their meal.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and given the combination of the service and food, we won’t be returning.

We came around 7pm-ish on Sat and luckily got a table on the balcony. In general, the food is pretty good. We enjoyed the fried oysters, trout Eugene and seafood courtbouillion, which actually would benefit from a bit more rice since it’s pretty heavy and salty. The dessert bread pudding was so-so since the texture was a bit too soft for us, and we didn’t enjoy the sourness in it. We were a bit confused during check-out since the 20% gratuity was automatically added into our bill for a 4-people table. My perception was that the gratuity should only be added automatically for a group of 6 people. Beyond that, it’s still a nice place for dinner.
