My sister and I stopped by Café Santa Rosa for the first time today to try their coffee. When we arrived, there was only one other customer in the shop, so it was very quiet and relaxed. The music was playing but it was almost to quiet. We did get there right around 2:30 and they close at 3:00 p.m. so that could be why they weren’t busy at all. Only one other customer came in while we drink our coffee. I was hoping to try one of their chocolate croissants, but they were out at the time. I ordered the winter spice latte, and my sister ordered the hot mocha latte.

I have to say, my favorite part of the entire visit was the atmosphere. The space is absolutely beautiful — warm, industrial, and rustic all at the same time. The wood accents paired with the exposed ceilings, soft lighting, and open layout make it feel welcoming while still being really unique. There’s so much room, and it feels like a place where you could comfortably sit and hang out for a while with friends.

One of the coolest little details was spotting an old dumbwaiter — you really don’t see those very often anymore, and it added even more character to the space. I also loved learning that they have a bar-style setup on the other side of the restaurant a few nights a week, which is a fun and unexpected touch. Another special feature is that their coffee comes straight from Colombia, and you could truly taste the quality. They’ve been in this location here for about 2 years and since the building is bigger I hope that they are getting a lot more customers but I’m not sure. Overall, it’s a really neat spot with a great vibe, and it’s worth checking out.

I love this café! Definitely my favorite in the Peoria area! Their house made syrups (even sugar free) are great, their farm to cup coffee is divine and the atmosphere is 10/10. They are always friendly, and there are some great pictures throughout of the farm and people. I just wish they had more gluten free options to eat…but, I am always limited as mine have to be both gluten and dairy free. So great coffee it is!

Incredible coffee and service. The coffee comes from the family farm in Columbia, and they use the farm as a place to offer employment and training to a population and demographic that might otherwise be overlooked.
Over the last 3 weeks I’ve visited 3-4 times and the quality is consistent with each visit.
Home made and/or locally sourced pastries are available (and delicious).
The owner Marta is inspiring, friendly, and makes incredible drinks. Her staff, as well.

I’ve only stopped in for coffee, but my experience is always the same. Always get a friendly welcome and a great flavored latte. I love the current location, which is beautiful, spacious, and quiet. I also love the story behind the family, business, and support of their farm in Columbia.

This place blends quiet space and large tables upstairs long stays with cafe style seating in the open main floor.
The layout makes cafe Santa Rosa the best coffee shop/cafe to host a meeting or meet virtually.
You Can reserve space for small groups if needed. And they have an assortment of sandwiches and pastries for lunch/breakfast.

Maximum style, minimum warmth. The vibe is cold, like an expensive, depressing indie movie set. The barista looked genuinely offended I asked for sugar it was perfectly indifferent service with zero fake pleasantries.

Latte: Overpriced, but perfectly executed. The croissant was flaky perfection and beautifully buttery.
Bottom line: You pay a lot to suffer stylishly. It’s unwelcoming, yet the coffee and pastry quality is impeccable. That earns it 4 stars, despite the passive-aggressive pain. I’ll be back because product quality trumps customer service any day.

Stopped in here after lunch for an espresso with my parents and girlfriend. Everyone loved it. My parents each got cardamom lattes and we got espressos. Very smooth and very good flavor. I’ll be back and will be recommending it to people

I am obsessed with the cardamom mocha! Staff always remembers my drink and are kind. They are the small business that loves to give back to the community to which I think is very important

My new favorite coffee shop in Peoria. Great selection of coffee and teas with super friendly service. We like the living wall of plants to sit by and relax. Have a huge selection of drinks, especially different teas. We’re looking forward to coming back and trying some new things.

Cafe Santa Rosa’s new location is sleek, modern, and spacious with a warm homey feel. My daughter and I enjoyed some delicious chocolate milk and coffee that paired well with the seasonal pumpkin roll. As always, the customer service was fantastic, which made the experience one to remember. Cafe Santa Rosa will definitely be part of our local coffee shop rotation. Highly recommend!
