What a great find! Authentic mexican food in a building that used to be a drive-thru bank. The aesthetics are very traducing mexican. The chairs are more like a nice lounge than what you would expect at a typical mexican restaurant which was a nice surprise.
They greet you with either complimentary fideo soup or oatmeal. We chose oatmeal and it was so flavorful with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. I ordered huevos rancheros with a side of chicharron verde. I love spicy food but the chicharron and the verde sauce on the eggs was waaaaaay too spicy. I only ate one bite of the chicharron and couldn’t finish it. I scrapped some salsa off the eggs and ate them with a flour tortilla. Careful with the green salsa! But otherwise everything was perfect and highly recommend!

Food was delicious at Cafe San Blas, with authentically named dishes. The customer service was excellent; we were seated quickly and checked on often. Great views added to a wonderful first-time visit.

I got the chilaquiles poblanos and cafe de olla and it was delicious! The flavor of the poblano sauce was amaazzzing, and the presentation of my plate was gorgeous. My husband got menudo and he said it was good! It was a little chilly on the top side of the restaurant but the coffee warmed me up quick. Service was top tier. I will definitely be back!

The food was delicious. It’s definitely the best Mexican food I’ve had in the Midland Odessa area IMO. I’m definitely glad we tried it.

I had the pleasure of stopping by Cafe San Blas during a recent business trip, and it truly did not disappoint. I opted for the chilaquiles de rancho paired with cafe de olla, and let me tell you, it was out of this world. The flavors were incredibly fresh, vibrant, and authentic, definitely one of the best breakfast dishes I’ve had in a long time.
What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s not often that both food and service exceed expectations, but this place nailed both.
I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town, and I highly recommend Cafe San Blas to anyone looking for a top-tier breakfast spot!

Nice place. Food was almost great, my potatoes were raw. The review is based on the price. Will be back to try again.
Update:
I am giving this place the distinction of serving me the worst looking steak ever in a restaurant. Do not order the ribeye.

The place is neat! First timers and the experience was rather not so great. I ordered a fideo con Pollo and the chicken used for it took the flavor away from the fideo. I will not order that from the menu again. Hubby ordered chilaquiles and nopales with egg he loved it. The chocolate caliente is very good. Our order came with tortillas so we ordered the tortillas de harina they were quick to bring those out but my chicken fideo soup took a while so my tortillas got cold. I asked for some hot ones and the lady serving us ordered them from the kitchen but when they were ready another server took them and placed them at another table. Our server went to check up on them and they had to heat up another 2 tortillas, and a different server brought them to our table. When she brought them they looked like they had been splattered with chorizo or caldo some sort of red stuff. I ate the outside of them instead to avoid whatever red stuff it was, but was not happy at all. My husband spoke up and let our server know, but she just said “oh they probably didn’t clean the grill to heat up the tortillas” (spanish speaking) and then walked away. Not sure if we will be going again after that experience. Everything else was great!
