Is the best dinner we had in a while. My boyfriend and I came to celebrate our anniversary and it was unforgettable. The server surprised us with the dessert and was amazing. We recommended this place for everything, is a sweet place, perfect service and quality of food and drinks.

Stepping into Cafe Roka was a little like going home, partly because it’s warm and cozy, and partly because it’s painted close to the same color as most of our walls, on which are hung similar, lively and colorful art. Located in the heart of Bisbee’s main drag, it has one of the coolest doors I’ve ever seen (but you need to walk by when they are closed to see it). There are plenty of tables on multiple levels but reservations are a must on Saturday night. We had reservations but we scored two seats at the corner of the bar, which is where we prefer to sit in most restaurants. It’s the kind of bar we like, rectangular, so we can see people across the bar. The bar is also a good place to get attentive service and quick help when you need it, which we got from the friendly bartender. Although the name “cafe” sounds casual and I would call the restaurant’s vibe comfortable, the food and service are clearly fine dining. The menu offers a selection of small plates and mains. We often prefer small plates, so we opted for that side of the menu. Between us we shared the short rib ravioli (delicious, perfectly al dente, and generous for a small plate), the small plate sampler of prosciutto-wrapped artichoke hearts (we ordered an extra plate of just these), bacon-wrapped dates (everything’s better with bacon), and cheese-stuffed roasted peppers (yummy). Sarah ordered the beet salad, which she really liked (I’m not a beet guy). The wine list offered a nice variety of reasonably priced bottles (we don’t like to spend a lot of money on restaurant wine). We’ll be back anytime we are in Bisbee. YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice

Stop I mean Stop! Make a reservation whether you are local or are visiting. Absolutely fabulous restaurant. From making reservations to enjoying our dinner experience. This was absolutely the highlight of our weekend visit to Bisbee. Thankfully it’s 3 1/2 hours away or it would be a weekly choice. Can you please open a location closer to Mesa? Warm friendly greetings from the hostess fabulous service from Memo to outstanding flavorful burst in your mouth dishes. Definitely didn’t disappoint food and atmosphere doesn’t compare to anything else in Bisbee. Got to meet Chef and Owner when he assisted with a mix up on birthday desserts. Totally happy with outcome and HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit. We definitely will if in proximity. Thank you for a great Friday night.

It was only my second time at Cafe Roka and my boyfriend’s first time since we live in Phoenix and we loved our experience at Cafe Roka on Saturday, January 3. The tin ceilings and dim lighting make it fun and the service is absolutely spot-on. The servers hustle, especially with three floors of diners to tend to. There was only one reservation left when we came in and that was for later at the bar. Although bar seating isn’t normally our thing, it was so fun to watch the bartender in action. (Don’t recall her name but she was awesome)!
Food was amazing, with the vegan falafel dish, being top notch. Loved our experience and highly recommend.

A wonderful evening with my honey. Risotto, Gnocchi, salad, breads and spreads, a bottle of Pinot …all so delicious! Thank you (Edit , we came back Memorial Day weekend. My husband loved his filet, and the wine recommendation was excellent! )

One of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time. The short ribs were exceptional, the drinks were tasty, and the steak – one of their nightly specials – was divine. We’re from Minnesota, but looking forward to visiting again.

I’m an amateur chef, was a mystery shopper for a major restaurant chain and was often a taster for the test kitchen. I’ve attended cooking classes in multiple countries, twice in Tuscany, Italy. I mention this because I’m a tough customer to please. My girl friend often chides me for being too critical. That said, I was so impressed with the chef’s food preparation and presentation, the wait staff and their kindness, efficiency and friendliness and quite honestly the flavor profiles that Rod Kass (chef and owner) developed that I couldn’t help but write this review, and as it were, shout it from the roof tops! We asked the chef to stop by, so when he did, I “gushed” about his fabulous food. No wonder they’ve been in business for 38 years! I thoroughly enjoyed the roasted half duck with the cherry – lime gravy! The sweet and tart combination emphasized the duck beautifully and the duck was cooked perfectly. The vegetable medley was perfectly prepared, not over cooked into mush that so often happens with side dishes. My girl friend ordered the special seafood combination for the day. Unfortunately, she has difficulty with shellfish so the wait staff accommodated her request to only provide the sea bass and the crab cake (which she passed on to me). I see several folks have commented on the crab cakes and I would like to also say that is quite honestly the “best” crab cake I’ve eaten in many years and maybe, quite honestly, be the best in my food service career! The remolaude sauce prepared for the crab cake was absolutely wonderful with a spiciness and creaminess that accented the crab cake perfectly. My girl friend indicated the sea bass was “perfect” (a lady of few words) although she didn’t offer to share, so it must’ve been great. Chef Kass has carved himself a little slice of heaven in Bisbee, AZ. We live within a couple hours of Bisbee and we will definitely return with friends! If in the vicinity, definitely make it a place to stop and enjoy a wonderful meal!

If every upscale/fine dining restaurant were like this, the world would be a better place.
Innovative ingredients (Biquinho peppers!), incredible appetizers, hearty main dishes that did not compromise on quality.
