I just picked up this salad started eating it got about half way done and felt a weird pop and kind of a sharp thing in my mouth i spit it out immediately and it was a BUG with wings!!! Super grossed out. Won’t be coming back.

Cafe Rio in Salt Lake City absolutely nailed it! The food was done really well—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was awesome, upbeat, and welcoming. Everyone in our group was completely satisfied with their meals. The horchata was spot-on, creamy and perfectly spiced, and the tres leches cake was out of this world—moist, sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend stopping by!

Genuinely the worst ‘fast food’ experience I’ve ever had. I love Cafe Rio and have been a long time customer, especially at this location. I went in to order food for my parents and the customer service and cleanliness was so horrible I almost left without my food and went to the Jordan Landing location! The two men who took our order were not friendly and almost made it seem as if we were bothering them by ordering. The woman who “assisted” with the transaction was irritated when I asked about the $20 meal promo they were running. Told me I should’ve asked the other guys about it…? Most of the dining area was covered in trash from previous diners and their drink area was filthy and had zero napkins. Not a big deal but didn’t make the experience any better. To make matters worse one of the orders was almost completely wrong despite correcting the guys who ‘crafted’ our order. Oh and there was a piece of foil wrapped into my mom’s burrito??? Glad she caught it, but come on guys

Norma and the crew are so amazing at this location!! 10/10 highly recommend this location as a long time Cafe Rio customer. I literally drive past the West Valley location at the mall just to come to this location because they are so amazing and the service is great.
The food is always on point and they make it with care every time.
I can’t say enough about how great this location is.

Terrible grilled chicken, it was hard as a rock? Not even sure if one of the pieces was chicken, or what? Burned cheese, ordered no beans, got lots of beans.

This is by far the worst of the worst cafe rios in town. Grossest employee table always covered in half eaten lunches snacks dirty rags etc. And it’s everytime and it’s right next to the line and register. messy stations. Employees are either rushing you or not listening at all.

Remember when Cafe Rio was fun and friendly? Actual humans took your order and you could see your food being made? This is one of those. They checked my online order with me before handing it over. Great customer service. They struggle to keep the horchata full but other than that, excellent.

The girl that worked the takeout counter was soooo rude!!!! I had a missing item and she didn’t even help me or suggest that they could help me get it. She just brushed me to the side and called out behind me to the next person in line like I wasn’t even there. And I was being so polite. She wouldn’t even let me check my receipt or explain. She made me feel so embarrassed. And the man working the checkout cashier was coughing and sneezing all over the place and they still had him handling the food. Weird experience. Not sure I will go back.

Plenty of seating and service was fast. No complaints really. We always love Cafe Rio and have had some moments where the food doesn’t taste as good as we remember but this was a good trip. Elote is not really worth the money.

HANDS DOWN one of the best CAFE RIOS I’ve been to in UTAH! Fast and accurate service, and with a smile. My food tasted fresh and delicious! Never have to worry about my order at this TAYLORSVILLE location! Stop by if you’re hungry and in the area!
