Bring back the 2 for $20. I haven’t been to Cafe Rio in YEARS because its over priced for the food that you get. But when this deal came out I figured I would give it another shot. 2 entrees, 2 large drinks and chips and queso for $20. I wont go back until they bring this deal back the valentines heart tins on valentines day was such a cute addition.

One of my favorites. Good food. My only complaint if you order for pickup extras like extra beans or rice, it’s a hit and miss if you actually get the extra. The quality of food always the best but from the inconsistency of portion size from location to location The service is always super nice and helpful, never unpleasant. The atmosphere really nothing special, cept the oddly colored tables that are all sticky.

Came in, not from this area, was very disappointed with this location. So far out of the locations i’ve gone to, this location are the only ones that charge extra for sour cream. 59 cents. It’s not the fact that it’s cheap, it’s the concept. Both online and the menu board inside doesn’t have a price next to it, so therefore SHOULD NOT cost extra. Of course they don’t clarify. It’s very misleading and false advertising. I went up and confronted to get an answer to my question, and they claimed it’s “only free for tostadas” but how is one supposed to know that if it doesn’t say. Again, every single other location i’ve gone to has never charged me for it. On top of everything, portions were very very small, tables were all dirty and had liquids spilled on it, sticky, had food on the tables, didn’t look to be busy so you’d think they’d have time to clean the tables. Overall very disappointed with this location. Will never be coming back.

Against my better judgment (and clearly ignoring every red flag from past experiences), I ordered online from this place again. Because hey, maybe I enjoy disappointment with a side of soggy rice?
This time, they really outdid themselves. It’s almost impressive how thoroughly they ignored every single customization checkbox—like it was a challenge. No meat? Extra sauce? Light on the lettuce? Nah, let’s just freestyle it and hope the customer enjoys the mystery meal roulette.
Whoever is assembling these orders must think the checkboxes are just decorative. Maybe they’re part of a modern art piece titled “Chaos in a Bowl.” Honestly, the staff could benefit from a week at Cafe Rio just to learn what food is supposed to look and taste like. And management? If you’re out there, blink twice if you’ve given up. A little pride in your product wouldn’t hurt—unless the goal is to win awards for culinary apathy.

This is THE BEST cafe Rio I’ve been to! The service was great and they loaded me up on food! Like seriously they stacked it up! I would highly recommend going to this location in particular! I don’t often rate chain places five stars but the service here was the best I’ve had for a chain place. The food tasted the same as every other cafe Rio, the service is why I bumped the rating up!

I would rate this Cafe Rio location a 3.5⭐️. The food is flavorful and the customer service is a hit or miss. I’ve had really good experiences as well as some bad experiences with customer service at this location. If you don’t pay attention when they are putting together your meal, sometimes they will put a microscopic amount of meat (which is frustrating). Overall, this is a good, quick, option for you to have consistently.

Don’t even waste your time going to this location. The service, the food, the experience. It’s all horrible and I’ve tried to come here multiple times to give them a chance to redeem themselves and every time I leave disappointed, I literally live across the street and I drive all the way to Taylorsville just to get my Cafe Rio now. Well, I tried again tonight and walked into another horrible experience in the employees couldn’t care less
All I wanted was some grilled chicken or Pollo Asada, but they literally didn’t have any with a full hour left before they closed.
Burritos are always made poorly and not wrapped. They don’t give you a full scoop of anything. Include all the water with your beans so it’s all wet inside. Often times they don’t even put cheese on the tortilla for a salad which is included. The ingredients are bad, including the lettuce employees act like they couldn’t care less if you’re there and don’t try to even do a good job or be nice to you.
It’s honestly such a horrible experience. I always ask myself. Why am I giving them another chance? This is im stark contrast to the Taylorsville location that has amazing staff, great food, and is rarely out of anything.
Again, don’t even waste your time here or you’ll end up disappointed just like me. Long time Cafe Rio fan over nearly 20 years or whenever they opened and this place is the worst.

Listen to the reviews, skip going to this Cafe Rio. Went in half the lights were off to appear closed I don’t think the employees wanted to work 3 hours before close. Ordered nachos they skimped out on everything pretty much got tray of chips with 2 bites worth of toppings. Also got a burrito where they removed half the meat after putting to much on? is to much meat a proper serving? after they removed half it was a light burrito. I do appreciate a great work environment where employees get along but it was overboard here after each step in the process for each tray the employees would halt making the food talk for 2 minutes do one more step. a trip to cafe rio being one of 2 people in line should not take 20 minutes. Very disappointed skip going to this cafe rio or just eat somewhere else.

June 14, 2024 just TERRIBLE!
I ordered a steak bowl. They are very skimpy on the steak, I got probably less than 1,5 oz of meat. The girl was generous on the sweet potato but half of that potato was undercooked, almost raw. I did not get beans cause they tried to charge extra. Paid $11+ for kids’ size meal and left hungry. I’m not surprised that they were completely empty during the lunch time (check the attached pic), I was the only customer.
Gave them an extra star cause the girl was nice and professional and I understand that it’s not her fault.
