The prices have gone up and the qualify is so far down. My salad had the smallest handily of lettuce and was missing half of the ingredients I ordered and are confirmed on my receipt. For a $70 meal, (3 dishes and chips and queso, the chips and queso were left out of order) I am beyond disappointed.

I mistakenly made a wrong Internet order through the app. I live pretty close, so I went to let them know that I had accidentally ordered too many items. The general manager, Tanny, was super helpful. She was able to correct the order and get me the right refund for the extra food I had accidentally ordered. She was super helpful and made my experience so smooth. I will be a customer for a long time!

I’m disappointed with this Café Río. It used to be good, now it’s bad. I stopped by today for the Wednesday toast sale, and it turns out they’re out of toast. But that’s not all. Beff’s meat is also gone, now you literally have to pay extra for any meat you choose. I ordered roast beef. It was full of fat and semi-cooked, not well cooked.I was told that now there is only the Bowl, The food wasn’t good, and the service was bad. I won’t be returning to that café. I’ll look for another place to eat during my lunch break. In the end I ended up throwing the food in the trash. Disappointed with this place.

Restaurant was messy, garbages were overflowing. Drink size much smaller than usual. Used to get free chips, but not anymore. App said food was ready, but it hadn’t been made yet. They forgot to give me a cup for my beverage, abd my side queso. Queso was old & grainy. Burrito was poorly wrapped & fell apart. Usually this is my go-to, but I was disappointed. I threw most of my food away. What a waste.

Food was great, fast service, clean bathrooms (ask for the code) and the dining area was so calm compared to other Rios. They have a drive thru too. It’s right off 21st so it’s a squeeze turning in and out but great spot.

We ordered food online only to arrive and find out they were out of grilled chicken and steak. After adjusting our order for what they still had available we got home to discover that one of the salads had curly black hair in it. This is the most disappointing experience we have ever had at this place, and there have been many. I will not be patronizing this location ever again.

Large Ear Wig in my lettuce!!
I get Cafe Rio quite often and from this location. It’s hit or miss on the quality and tonight I ordered an online order for pickup. I ordered the pico and lettuce on the side which was in a separate clear container.
As I was putting the lettuce on top of my order, I noticed this large ear wig crawling around at the bottom!!
This immediately ruined my appetite as well as my kids.
I called customer service about this and the lady responded so nonchalant about the whole thing. She immediately asked if I wanted a refund. Nothing about how sorry they were or anything! I really called to notify the store so they could discard the contaminated lettuce, not so much for a refund. That wasn’t at the top of their list… So for anyone having lettuce on the night of 11/7/2024, I hope you don’t have an extra crunch in your lettuce… Absolutely not acceptable.

Ordered for the first time at this place for take out and the worst experience ever. We ordered fajitas veggies without any meat due to our dietary and religious restrictions and to our disappointment we encountered pieces of pork in it. Never stepping foot into another Cafe Rio again.

I was so excited to have a Cafe Rio closer to wear I live, however, since the Sugarhouse location has opened it has been nothing but disappointing. My takeout order is consistently incorrect and in the last month they have changed their menu and no longer carry Lime Vinaigrette salad dressing. Goodbye Sugarhouse Cafe Rio forever. I called HQ and there are many locations that are not changing their menu. So back to Cafe Rio on 3300 S 3500 E because their service and takeout is consistent plus they still serve Lime Vinaigrette dressing
