I normally love Cafe Rio! I’ve been eating there since I was a teenager and love their food. However, this particular store has routinely messed up my online orders and now reading the online reviews, I see I’m not the only one. There have been several times that I paid extra for an enchilada-style burrito when it wasn’t done, a couple times I had to go back because they didn’t include the drink cup I ordered, and times where they put the wrong sauce or didn’t include lettuce and pico. If you want what you paid for, you have to go through the line. This shouldn’t be required if you’re offering online ordering.
This last experience is why I’m making this review and will be going to Costa Vida instead in the future. My order looked like they were trying as hard as they could to give me the least amount they could get away with. The burrito was about 3/4 the size it normally is and for the lettuce, cilantro, and pico de gallo on the side, I got like 5 bits of lettuce and one long, limp sprig of cilantro. It felt very cheap for the price. I can go somewhere else if that’s the quality of service they provide.

What a waste. We bought 2 tostadas and drove all the way home to find they didn’t give us any dressing. We asked for extra meat on one and it had nothing extra. The pork burrito was suppose to be no sauce and they put sauce on anyway. What was weird, is we were the only ones in line. If the line crew quit chatting up a storm about anything besides work, they might have accomplished something right. A lot of laughter and giggling among the line crew rather than working. I had to get after them because they were pulling the meals out of the conveyor oven early with their tongs. What little cheese they put on did not melt at all. In response to there reply:

What a joke. How hard is it to read what is requested on an online order? No elites, no avocado salsa, no extra tortilla or extra dressing and hardly any lettuce, how does it even count as a salad?! If you’re going to up your prices, then keep the quality as it’s been before! Or you like chipotle now, when you order online you get a whole lot less?
How can I get some sort of compensation or money back? I paid extra on things that I did not get.
*Getting to the bottom there’s no melted cheese on the tortilla.

I sent my son to pick up my online order. He asked for my order the employee repeated my name and handed him a bag. The employee working at the pick up window obviously couldn’t read the name on the bag or speak English. The order we received was 3 1/2 hours old and not what we ordered. I drove all the way back to get my order. Mine was waiting at the window and the employee gave the wrong order that I brought back to someone waiting for their order. The order they gave the customer was 3 1/2 hours old and had been taken home to my house!!!
Not sure I’ll be back after that.

Terrible food effort in the drive thru. Cold food, not warm at all. Pickled jalapeño just says little effort in their product. Paid extra for guacamole and they failed to put that in 2 tacos. I DO NOT recommend Cafe Rio what so ever! Worst place for Mexican food. Go to a taco cart, at least they take pride in their work.

Another disappointing cafe Rio experience. Undercooked rice, skimped on steak portions, overcooked dry steak, and not properly separated sweet pork. Juice machines were entirely broken and not usable. Dirty dining area and rude workers.

I placed a DoorDash order, but someone else took my food. The staff didn’t know what had happened and didn’t seem to care. I waited for over an hour before getting a proper response. The manager only told me to contact DoorDash, and the order was remade only after I insisted multiple times. Given this experience, I have to leave a negative review.

If you place an order online and call them within 60 seconds to cancel the order due to a mistake you made, you get routed to the central call center that has to contact the store. They will place you only hold for quite a long time and then let you know that since it took them so long to call the store that the store already made the order and they will not refund you. Not an ounce of being sorry or willing to correct the mistake. It is not the customer’s fault your company can’t cancel an order within a short amount of time. Either make it available online or allow calling the store directly. Such a ridiculous interaction.

Their portions are huge! My daughter and I have been here twice and we share the bowl. We also get their chips and queso. The cheese is good with a hint of spice. It’s delicious! Highly recommend this location plus you get a mountain view!

This location is so very inconsistent. I used to eat here all the time and I stopped going because anytime I’d order they forget something or not give me the correct portion. I had the same thing happened today, I ordered a Double Enchilada entree and Queso and Chips. They didn’t include my beans or rice I ordered and I received a condiment sized cup of queso! I really thought I’d give them another chance but they are constantly dropping the ball. Won’t be back anytime soon nor will I recommend anyone visit this location.
