They were so crazy busy in there that they were running behind on my online order and so the manager jumped over to the regular line and filled the order there. She also ran out of chips, which means they’re having any incredibly busy day, but the manager was so nice and gave me some free queso because I said I could just use my chips at home. And she thanked me but really she needs a big THANKS for working so hard to make it work tonight. I was really impressed with their teamwork and ability to just make it happen, even though they were running low on supplies

Order placed at 6:15 for 2 salads app said the order would be ready from 6:45-6:55 got there at 6:45 tell them the name they told me it would be 20 mins. Looked over at the end of the line to know who is at the end and where I would be if I just would have gotten into line. At 7:14 the guy at the end of the line had his food and had paid. 7:33 the food I had paid for was finally ready. Portions when ordering pickup are always smaller than if you go through the line and to top it off they forgot our drinks and I had to ask. The pickup line was longer than the Normal line. My suggestion do not order anyway other than the line customer pickup is just garbage. We are done eating at this cafe too and will either go to another location or possibly stop going all together. Very disappointed in expectations not being met. Update the time to pickup or better yet let people go through the normal line and get their pickup order filled. Also this location soda machine is out of ice all the time and this effects the carbonation without the ice chilling the soda it go’s flat fast.
This is currently the norm for this location I don’t know if it’s staff or management but they should do better. They are not slow as this location serves everything from roy to Syracuse

Do Not Place an online order for this location, they have consistently been 30+ minutes behind estimated pick up times for the last few months. Tonight I literally order nachos and chips and queso which shouldn’t be too complicated. Estimated pick up time is 7:20pm they helped all the customers ordering in person before touching the pickup line. Finally got my food at 7:55. What is the point of ordering online if it would’ve been faster to order there. Management really needs to improve at this location.

Online ordering on the app is a complete nightmare! Not once, not twice, but now 3 times online ordering has ruined our night! App said food would be ready in 20 minutes. Showed up 5 minutes late (25 minutes) and was told they are behind and my order would not be ready for another 25 minutes. Yet people in line wait 15 minutes to walk through and get their food. Asked to speak with a manager to get a refund and was told that it was not possible at the store, how is that not possible? Fix your app ordering process and give appropriate wait times to your customers! I am done with Cafe Rio. This is #3 bad experience in a row with this franchise and customer service doesn’t appear to be a priority to them.

Every time when I’ve gone to this location, my order has been ready for pickup, probably bagged and organized and everything has been correct. The staff has been attentive and friendly too.
So far too nothing funky has been in my food. I used to have this problem all the time with the Layton location (gross fatty pieces of meat, onion skins..). I live closer to the Layton location but I will happily continue to drive the extra minutes to the West Point location if it means I’m getting a better experience.

My family of six loves this place, so we get take-out here (via the app) a lot – like, A LOT. And because my wife loves Cafe Rio so much, I’d be perfectly happy to say they can do no wrong, but… they always, always, ALWAYS screw up at least one thing with our order. Now, it’s normally not something so far off as getting the whole entree wrong, but it’s forgetting things we’ve paid for, like forgetting to add a 4oz dressing, an extra tortilla, or side of meat, or queso on the nachos, or that we asked to leave something off that they added anyway. When we go to pick up, they’re always so busy, so we check it over very quickly while they’re standing there, but the person checking it over – me for example – doesn’t know everything everyone ordered. I don’t want to pull everything apart. We try to trust that the order is right. Now, if our orders were slightly off only 1 in 5 times, then I wouldn’t mind too much tbh. But DUDE. It’s every time. Like, EVERY. TIME. It’s a service issue tho, not the food. The food is always great. The employees are polite and they look busy whenever we’re there. I’m sure there’s a lot to keep up with. But, man I wish they’d check over the orders better.

I would avoid this location. The staff are rude and the restaurant is poorly run. This is squarely on the management team at this location. This is the second time I’ve ordered pickup at this location and it’s constantly a disaster. I arrived at my designated order time. Expecting to pick up my order (their ads say to order ahead and save time, I guess I missed the fine print on that). Just like last time, my order was not ready. There were 20 people waiting in the pickup line and no one in the regular line. I waited 25 minutes while orders were coming out slowly. I finally decided to ask how long it was going to be and the person at the counter (super friendly and wanted to help) told me that it was going to be a while. I asked to cancel the order and he told me to do it through the app. I pulled up the app in front of them and asked how I do it and they said they didn’t know. Then they asked another coworker and they said you couldn’t and that I needed to call customer service. I asked for their number and they told me to look it up in the app. I asked for a manager to help me cancel my order. She was not friendly and extremely rude, she didn’t even apologize about the long wait. Adriana, the manager on duty, told me to call customer service. She then turned round and started saying how annoying I was to the other workers in Spanish (I speak Spanish). I then called customer service and they said it was strange and that the store needs to cancel the order. I then had to wait 30 mins on hold while the customer service rep circumvented the store to cancel my order when the store could have done it right there. The customer service rep was really polite and genuinely wanted to help but the whole experience took over an hour and it was still faster than waiting for the food. Lesson learned, go to a different location.

The only thing that’s consistent about this place is its inconsistency. Sometimes orders take two minutes, sometimes twenty. Sometimes I get a nice, warm order with fresh lettuce, and sometimes I get a cold slab of meat shoved into a tortilla with wilty lettuce on the side. I think this place is good more often than not, and the employees are nice enough. If I didn’t love sweet pork so much, I’d probably stop going.

We were really looking forward to our Cafe Rio order, but unfortunately the experience didn’t meet expectations. When we opened the bag, dressing had spilled everywhere—completely soaking the bag and covering the food containers. On top of that, the drinks were wrong, which just added to the frustration.
Accidents happen, but this felt like a clear lack of care in how the order was packed and double-checked. We even left a tip to show appreciation in advance, but it’s frustrating to pay extra and end up with a mess.
This order was not placed with door dash or a third party, it was placed directly through cafe Rio’s app and after reaching out to their customer service team expressing the inconvenience of having the wrong drinks and sauce covering half the containers they never wrote back. Very frustrating.
