Someone please save this place. I’ve given it so many tries. The staff is soooo disorganized that even a simple order takes forever. It’s a management problem…there is plenty of staff.

Every time I come the meat is soaking my food. I saw them adding more juice to the meat while there. Which would be fine – if they would be careful to let the juices drain.

Trashes a foot overfull. And all of the staff is just standing around chatting.

I really like cafe rio, but I will be driving to star and Linder next time.

We used Cafe Rio in Eagle for our Christmas teacher lunch at Eagle high. We have 144 staff and cafe rio accommodated our very early pick up time! The employees were so kind, helpful and we have a TON of food! We ordered the taco bar, which came with 2 proteins, rice, beans, chips, salsa, salad, salad dressing, all serving utensils, plates, utensils, mints! also, everything to keep your food warm. Everything you need! We will use them every year for our catering needs. more than 5 starts!

Two of my friends have gone here on different occasions and were treated INCREDIBLY rude by the staff. Thea Mcrory(?) and Lee Smith are two of the rudest people they’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. Both of my friends who went in there were nothing but pleasant and kind, and on TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS your staff has treated these people horribly. Just because you aren’t friends with someone anymore doesn’t give you the right to be cruel , especially while you ARE AT WORK.

They were inconsiderate, rude, ignored my friends, rolled their eyes the entire interaction, didn’t give the proper food to them, and when a different customer came in they acted super nice to them while glaring at my friends. Both of these people are horribly rude and I cannot believe they have yet to be fired. DO BETTER as a manager and don’t allow your teen workers to treat people disrespectfully. It’s incredibly childish.

Don’t go to this store! It is obvious that they have no one that oversees quality control of any order this to be delivered.

My husband and I ordered through doordash tonight and the order was wrong in so many ways. You would think for the fact that they would have a printed order, they could follow it.

What was wrong –
1. We both requested limes and got none. (See receipt)
2. We both ordered Sweet pork barbacoa as our meat. My husband got sweet pork, I however, got chicken that wasn’t even shredded.
3. I requested the fan favorite of a sweet barbacoa salad, which comes normally with large torn lettuce pieces. However, what I got was the most unappetizing shredded lettuce that has made the salad really unedible. I guess if you had a problem such as you were out of sweet pork barbacoa, you could have called me since my phone number was on the order.
4. The guacamole in the store is the most unappetizing guacamole you’ll ever come across. It seems, that they leave it out until literally it is one second before the health inspectors would deem it unedible before they change it out. 90% of the time when it’s offered to us in the store, it is already brown or gray in the little tray. This tells me that the owner is all about the money he or she is making, and nothing about the customers that come in.

It used to be that Cafe Rio required all manager to have a culinary degree. I guess nowadays, if they have somebody who can’t read or make a phone call it’s okay with ownership.

I definitely won’t be back to the store and to be honest, I don’t think I’ll be eating at Cafe Rio ever again!! I work for a company that has 120 employees in the valley and I think I’ll absolutely let management know that they should not ever get food from Cafe Rio for any of our staff meetings.

It was my first time here. I got coupons in the mail so I decided to try it. Let’s just say this was the first and LAST time. I ordered a bowl with the sweet pork (whatever it’s called) and my lettuce was wilted and the guac was almost brown. I was with three other people and I stood there to pay and the guy was very slow. Asked for chips and queso and he walked away and was gone forever and the manager came and said “you can sit down and we will bring it to you”. I hadn’t even paid yet and no clue where the guy went. She seemed frazzled. While standing there for 10 minutes with my food getting cold, another guy knocked a bunch of ladles onto the floor and picked them up and put them on the counter next to the cutting boards. Not in a sink to be washed or sanitized. I was so grossed out that I barely ate. Never again.

UPDATE: 3/25/25 decided to give them a second chance with the free meal coupons that a manager sent. Ordered a shredded chicken burrito. As I was going down the line doing my picking, she rolled it up before I even finished. Wanted to add elite corn and fajita veggies but I guess not. And I received one blob of chicken. Won’t even be using my second coupon.

the blonde young worker was so rude. she rolled her eyes at my mother and gave such dirty looks for no reason. also forgot almost everything we ordered. all we got was two burritos with meat and rice and nothing else. we asked for sour cream and guacamole and pico and lettuce and fajita veggies and nothing. when we called and complained they said they weren’t going to do anything about it. they said because we paid with cash they can’t refund. they said we’d have to drive all the way back before they close or they won’t do anything about it. we were already 20 minutes away on the way home for dinner. ridiculous they expect us to waste our gas and spend an extra hour to get home when they just saw us. they weren’t helpful at all. never apologized for the inconvenience or anything. just refused to give us any options.

This location needs new management because employees obviously haven’t been trained properly. I ordered an order for takeout. When I arrived there were no customers in the store and employees just standing around. When I said I was here for pickup they seemed confused and then went to their printer and noticed the order. They began making my food, well one of the employees did, while the other did “busy work” around the store. It took almost 20 minutes. No apologies for being late, no drink offers. I get home and realize there is a missing entree. After talking to customer service I decide to go back to pick it up. When I arrive at the store the girl said she had placed it in a warming box and went to pick it up. She arrived a couple minutes later and said, “I’m sorry, it looks like someone threw it away. Do you want me to make you a new one?” So, we wait for a new burrito to be made. Again, no apologies for having to drive back, no coupons or drinks or anything to make up for the inconvenience. We decided to give you all one more chance, so today we ordered Cafe Rio through DoorDash. Every.Single.Item was wrong. Wrong meats, missing drinks, missing enchilada style, wrong salad dressings. We are officially done with this location.
