Cafe Rio completely won me over! The service was excellent fast, friendly, and super attentive. The food was spectacular, full of flavor and so fresh. And I have to highlight the tres leches cake. Soft, moist, and absolutely delicious it felt like the perfect sweet ending to a great meal. Definitely a place I’d come back to again and again.

Let me start by saying that usually I love Cafe Rio. But the experience the last two times at this location and especially tonight (2/14) left a lot to be desired. The gentleman preparing the burritos clearly didn’t know how to roll a burrito. He wasn’t the friendliest either. He seemed bothered to be working. And as a result of his lack of skill, it seems like he intentionally skimped on the portions so he could try to roll them better. Learn how to roll a burrito or stay off of the line. Those were the smallest burritos we’ve ever been served by this chain. Then when we got the food home, everything was cold, the chips were incredibly stale and many undercooked (yes chewy tortilla chips), the rice was crunchy, and you can tell the meat had been sitting there for hours. I understand it was slower due to it being Valentine’s Day, but you have to do better than that at this price point. This location should be embarrassed by this incredible miss tonight. I hope they do better in the future, but we won’t be back to this location. There are others in the area with a superior experience.

The experience overall was pretty good! We immediately ordered! Our food was fresh, hot, and flavorful! They have a nice variety of options to choose from! The only downside is that it’s pretty expensive! My bowl cost 17$! I know things are increasing in price, but I thought that it was pretty steep! I will likely be back to try more items for sure! There are plenty of tables and a pretty chill atmosphere too!

Stopped in for lunch on the suggestion of a friend. Had the Taco salad and was very surprised at how good it was. The service was remarkable too. Jess and Kimmie are awesome. Good service is rare these days and these two ladies are standouts.

We’re big Cafe Rio fans (for ~10 years) and we’re super happy to find this new location, close to our hotel we stayed at for a couple of nights.
They opened in October 2022, so at the time I’m writing this the restaurant is less than a year old and looks and feels great!! The colors, the layout, staff and food are top notch!
As an extra bonus:
1. They have a drive through! So jealous for anyone who lives close to this place
2. They have the touch screens to order from (not many locations we’ve been to have had those and we’ve been to ID, UT and a few in CO)
We had the pulled chicken, grilled chicken and steak salads, no complaints would absolutely go back if we are in the area!

4/7/24- 3 stars as an average score since this location was about average for a Café Rio. I tried one of their new bowls and it was super soupy for some reason. I had to ask for one of their metal bowls because it was soaking through their cardboard bowls. The staff were nice. Also this end of the larger parking lot is hard to navigate because parts are marked one way and trying to get in from the Home Depot direction can be a challenge.

Very friendly staff, only problem is food was severely mediocre. This would be fine if it was a cheaper version of chipotle but it was about the same price. Rice was not all the way cooked, overall lack of flavor. If you have to go here in a pinch because of a hungry family, like I did…DOUBLE UP on the sauces.

My 1st and last time coming here! I ordered a burrito it kinda smelled strange. I ate it I was hungry! and not even half way I find a long black piece of hair! Yuck $16 . Taco bell is way better!
