My wife and I have been in Barre for just about 2 years. Dewey and Jada are hands down the best owners, chefs and overall customer focused individuals. They have made us feel as though we’re part of the family. Always a nice time here, please pay no mind to some of these other comments. Come and experience the Cafe On The Common for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Update: Lots of flatbreads. Ribs and drumsticks are smoked to perfection. Pies are still great. Add brisket. On flatbread or mac&cheese it is awesome. Caprese salid was crisp and fresh, good balsamic. The chocolate cream pie is a thick mousse, amazing.

Stop eating the cherry pie! Last week I got the last piece and today they are all out. Someone else ate my piece! LOL. Seriously, their cherry pie is really good. Actually, everything is really good. We’ve been coming here every Friday for the last few weeks and really enjoy it. Finally a local place we can eat (and drink) at every Friday! Almost everything is made in house, including; pies, quiches, soups, salad dressings, salsa, pretzel bites & assorted baked goods.

Just tried their Shepherds Pie, Cherry Pie, Cheeseburger Pie, and Quiche over the last week or so end can’t say enough that I’m so thrilled by this place. They have new foods on the way that I’m excited to try and their mixed drinks are generous! The atmosphere (and AC) makes this place my favorite to go to from now on.

This place really is a gem!! My husband and I stumbled upon it for a late lunch while exploring the Quabbin, and we are so glad we did! Beautifully decorated and clean place, incredibly friendly staff and owners, and delicious food (we got chicken pot pie, mac and cheese with bacon, and a blueberry scone) – this is a high quality place with a great very local vibe. We will definitely be back!

Cute small family run business with amazing food. Love the Flatbread. It’s a light healthier alternative to the other local pizza options. The brownie with peppermint ice cream is absolutely amazing. Both cocktails I had were delicious! 1st choice in town for food! Can’t wait to try Sunday brunch!

I went for lunch with my service dog and a friend. The owner came over and told me dogs were not allowed in the restaurant. I told him it was a certified service dog. He stated he did not allow service dogs in his restaurant. I then informed him the dog was protected by the American Disabilities Act. He stated he had opened the restaurant last May and once a dog had come in and was wondering around the restaurant. I said “In that case it would be appropriate to ask someone to leave. My dog is laying quietly under the table and is well trained.” My friend asked him if he wanted us to leave and he said, “No, you can stay.” So we ordered lunch, ate quickly and left. How rude! To own a restaurant for 10 months and not know the American Disabilities Act!! And to treat a customer so disrespectful is totally unacceptable.
