Café Normandie is a true gem in Naples! The food is fresh, authentic and full of flavor. What also makes this place extra special are the owners, Anthony and Sandie : they are welcoming and make you feel like part of the family every time you visit. Their passion for great food and genuine hospitality really shines through. My husband and I are from Belgium and we can tell you this is an authentic French spot, Café Normandie should be at the top of your list, always a wonderful experience!
(Don’t miss out their Sunday breakfast in season as well)

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Cafe Normandie last night. The weather was miserable outside but the food and ambience at the restaurant was excellent. I had a drink and we both had the three-course dinner of escargot, roasted duck with tangy orange sauce and chocolate mousse and profiteroles for dessert. Everything tasted superb. Our server, Claire, was personable, friendly and attentive. She came by periodically to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. She was one of the best servers we’ve had in Naples. We definitely will be back for dinner again.

I was very pleased with the menu selections at Café Normandie. I opted for the crevettes Saint Jacques au gratin, which was fantastic and beautifully served. The other dinner guest got the boeuf bourguignon, which I tasted and will say the sauce was almost too powerful for the beef, but was still good.
Crème brûlée for dessert was as heavenly as I’ve ever experienced, and other guest got a profiterole which was filled with ice cream – I’m used to a custard but it was a tasty surprise.
The pros – The server was friendly and while the chef didn’t come to our table, he did go to another table and made friendly conversation with them which I think is a great touch – while I’ve not been to France in many years, I do travel to other European places and this is something I love about European restaurants that I was so pleased to see they take the time to try to do here! We Americans aren’t really used to it, I know, but having the dish creator come and meet the guests is endearing. Anyhow, I though the food we sampled was of great quality, and I am willing to pay more per plate for a fantastic meal.
The cons – The service was slow, but not inadequate, but there weren’t that many tables seated. The seating is too closely arranged to be considered a romantic setting – the two tops are up against the wall and all of the four tops are in a even row so that you’re next to the other tables too close for any sort of private conversation – but it is a small dining area so I understand they are trying to maximize space. It would have been nice to hear French music playing but it was more of an easy listening soft rock when we went.

We have eaten at this storefront restaurant several time and have not been disappointed. This time we went to try out thier new breakfast.
We each had one of thier Benedicts and love them. The pastries were wonderful. I encourage you to give them a try. Prices reasonable. Parking in front.

We were visiting Naples from Ontario, Canada. My boyfriend is a chef and found this place online and we were beyond thrilled with the service from the moment we walked in and all the way through our meal!

The atmosphere was quaint and cozy and as a half French Canadian, I really appreciated hearing the language spoken between the staff members.

Everyone was so courteous and kind.

I had the escargot and branzino, my boyfriend had the foie gras and sweet breads. We will go back and eat all of that and then some. Our dinner finished with the most decadent, but also light tarte tatin.

It was a lovely touch that the chef came out before we left to see how everything was.

10/10 would recommend and return.

Thank you!

We’ve had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant a few times. I can’t stress enough how much I love this place! Not only is the food out of this world good, but the owners, and the staff, are just the loveliest people you’ll meet. There’s so much to choose from, so they’re sure to have something for everyone. Plan your next date night here. You won’t be disappointed!

Exceptional food.
My wife had a delicious lamb rack and I had the best frog legs.
The portions are also very generous.
This is a true and authentic French restaurant.

3 days later we had a second visit. Chateaubriand for two. This is discovering the true taste of beef. The most aristocratic dish in the world. It came with chef’s Antoine grandma secret recipe sauce and gratin dauphinois.
We had also artichoke soup and a unique and wonderful crème brûlée.
Update: Christmas Dinner 2025. Just perfect Beef Wellington. Jerusalem Artichoke cream soup was a wonderful surprise. The best service again. Thank you, Chef Anthony

The food is very good! The atmosphere is not great and the cooking smoke from the kitchen permeates throughout the entire restaurant leaving you with a very uncomfortable dining experience. My eyes were so irritated I could not enjoy my meal.

Had my first wedding dress fitting nextdoor and we couldn’t wait to have lunch here! Loved the lunch special of the 2 or 3 course special. I had the 3 course special. With the French onion soup, shrimp as my entree and they count the wine as the 3rd course, yes please you can had dessert for $4. My mom and split the wonderful crème brûlée!
My parents enjoyed their lunch. And of course we had to start with the escargot … so well deserved for standing still while they pinned my dress 🙂
Can’t wait to come back in August! I’ll get the champagne to toast for the final fitting!

Service was good.

My mom booked lunch reservations. But we didn’t need them as we were informed when we walked in.

Top notch. Excellent food. The foie gras is amazing. The charcuterie plate was really good. The duck a l’orange was very nice. The beef bourguignon was very delicate and delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked. We had the mousse bomb and chocolate mousse. Everything was wonderful and the service was very good.
