A Super lucky Gambler
We are Dimond Players the food has been satisfactory & Excellent in the last month. Thanks to EXCELLENT trained cooks & are waitress MARY AWSOME always polite & attentive. I have dietary issues so I usually can’t eat a big plate of pasta 2/16 the Pasta was so SAVORY and the beef soup W VEG. Excellent FRESH better than montego. Keep UP the good work I know people can be demanding when they are Hungry but the prices are decent the RIBS & Baked Potatoes are always Excellent soft & tasty, the more sauce the better lol….

The epitome of disappointment.
40 dollar steak was cold. The lack of seasoning was astonishing. As you can see in the picture provided I added butter to the steak and it was so cold the butter did not melt.
First time to this establishment and obviously will be the last.

Cafe Milano, had a beautiful atmosphere, was clean and had several menu items to choose from.
Our waiter, Sergio, was kind, and always smiling dispite how busy they were. He was attentive and hard working.
The thing we noticed was that there were only, two, maybe three servers…who were all busy, but Sergio seemed to be the main one. Along with this there were three to four hostesses/clerks, that seemed not to be wanting to do much other than chat amongst each other…they were just there…no apparent interest in the customers or the busy servers.
When you order an alcoholic beverage, the busy waiters/waitresses’ had to leave the restaurant, go to one of the casino bars, get the beverages, and bring them to their customers. My question would be why the hostess, given their not being busy, not be able to do this for the servers, as to better customer service and efficiency of the establishment.
There was one gal, whom I believe was a manager, stop by our table to ask how everything was, but it was a fleeting question, with no real eye contact.
The food was nice, and Sergio rocked.

The food here was decent. My husband and I had never been here si stopped in. We both ordered steaks and an appetizer of nachos. The nachos were huge and probably would have been perfect for us to share as a meal. My biggest complaint would be that the sour cream was gross and that the steak was not seasoned at all. I had to add butter and salt to my entree to make it edible.

A Disappointing Culinary Jack-of-All-Trade

I recently dined at Cafe Milano, lures by the promise of a diverse menu ranging from Mexican to Chinese to Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfying.

The restaurant appears to be attempting to master multiple cuisines, but sadly, it falls short. The only redeeming feature seems to be their breakfast, which I heard is decent, but I cannot personally attest to this.

My main course was the Cowboy steak, what a major letdown. It lacked any kind of seasoning, which is fundamental to a good steak. Moreover, it was overcooked, a cardinal sin in steak preparation. To add to the disappointment, the onions accompanying the dish tasted like they had been carelessly cooked in old oil, detracting further from the meal.

In retrospect, the taco truck on the corner would have likely been a better choice. It’s a lesson learned – sometimes, simpler and more focused menus trump extensive but poorly executed ones. I would advise future patrons to read the reviews before visiting, or at least stick to breakfast, the only meal this establishment seems to get right reading the reviews

Comically bad. Lackluster service, a lot overworked understaffed server delivered the wrong beer and missed another drink. Southern chicken was completely bland and unseasoned. The veggies in the soups were boiled to a paste. Mid rare stake order came out gray and well done. Chefs’ choice of veggie of the day was unseasoned canned corn, for everyone. My country fried steak was lovely, brought back memories of a diner inside of a greyhound station in the Carolinas in 1994. Few dining options in Wendover, but definitely avoid this one.

My husband’s club sandwich looked really, really good. It was nicely toasted and filled with an abundance of deli meats and cheese. It was tall enough he had trouble taking the first bite.

I however, was swayed by the promise of all you can eat spaghetti. I mean who doesn’t like mounds of noodles smothered in a thick Italian tomato sauce. Wasn’t even close. What came was a mountain of noodles drenched in a very watery…something that was more garlic than anything. There were chunks of ground meat and tomatoes. It was truly awful and definitely not worth the $20 price tag. The garlic bread was really good though.

Timing may have been everything for service. We were celebrating our anniversary on a Monday afternoon. Thus we were seated right away and the service was very nice.

I also ordered a glass of pineapple juice. The size of the juice was a welcome surprise as was the quality. It tasted really good and I’ll mention it wasn’t watered down with ice.
Since hubby’s sandwich was good, I’ll eat there again and try another dish.

Overall, on a quiet Monday the service and atmosphere was nice. I’m still reeling from how truly awful something like spaghetti was.

Beautifully remodeled but it’s a bit bright. Would be more elegant if they turned the lights down a bit. Server was very brief and it felt like she did a fly-by food drop & check-in. Soup was lukewarm but delicious. We LOVED the meatloaf. She did say it was the most popular thing in the menu once we prodded recommendations out of her.
Would definitely go back for the meatloaf alone.

I wish I could rate this higher only because the server was so sweet, but most things just ruined this visit.

I was sat between two tables of intoxicated guests who were being loud and annoying. The restaurant was going through some sort of remodel, so there were booth parts everywhere and caution tape all over the restaurant.

I ordered the shrimp cocktail to start. The shrimp did not taste good.. like they were quick thawed under running water; very watered down and lacking flavor. I would have dipped them in the cocktail sauce, but it was all quickly slipping under a bed of chopped celery.

Next, I had the Teriyaki chicken on Lo Mein. The dish came out with the fortune cookie and chopsticks IN THE SAUCE. The noodles were spaghetti, not fluffy egg noodles. The chicken was sour and super salty. I had to send it back.

The server was very apologetic and asked if I would like something else. I ordered the Mongolian Beef with Rice. That came out looking AMAZING. I took my first bite, and the beef was overcooked to the point where it was a soft jerky, but tasted really good never the less. The rice was fluffy and perfect.

All of a sudden, a guy comes in with a vacuum on a backpack and starts vaccuming right next to all of the guests that are seated, not caring how loud he was. I could see the frustration on other guest’s faces.

I finished and went to pay for my $50 meal that would have been better AND more cheap at Panda Express. The server asked me how everything was and it took everything in me not to explode. “It was.. uh.. uh.. ok.” With a disappointed look on my face.

Peppermill, please up your standards and food quality. This was horrible.
