My son and I come up here to go shopping at Scheels. We always stop at Cafe Mexicali for food because you get your money’s worth. The food is wonderful and we are completely full when we leave. Deserts are delicious. Most of the time we leave with left overs.

First time visit. Opted for the chicken burrito, which was enough to feed two at an affordable price. Excellent flavor; just enough spice to be noticeable but combined into a great bite of food. The service was fast and friendly. Pretty quiet on a Sunday evening. Will definitely return.

There’s one simple reason for giving 5 stars – BIG portions! My eyes got bigger when I saw how much sweet pork they put in my wife’s burrito, and my beef nachos were piled high. The nachos would have really benefitted from some pico, but it wasn’t offered. The guacamole was quite good and so was the flavored sour cream, and the salsa wasn’t bad. I did enjoy the nachos, but will order something else next time. My wife said the sweetness of the pork started to bother her before too long, so she too would order something else. Still, our overall impression was good, and we would like to give Cafe Mexicali another try.

First two times I went here I got a smothered burrito and didn’t really care for it….I thought it was way too much rice. Today I got the enchiladas. I read the description so I knew it was layered and not rolled. I also tried the creamy habanero sauce for the first time. Now I get the hype! This was delicious and now I look forward to going back!!

It was a good experience. I thought the price was high. $17 for a steak burrito . They had a sign at the register that due to fuel cost they would add an additional fee weekly. This week it was 4% more than the menu showed. I have never seen that before.

Strong doubts about how ling this place will be around… Very uncoordinated ordering and service.. The food was good and fresh. Salads are good. DO NOT order enchiladas, you will be disappointed! It is their version which is more like a flat deconstructed taco covered in sauce…. First and last time….

For the 3rd time I’ve ordered take out, got home and it’s wrong. I get a sweet pork quesolle plain with no cheese. On the app did I not only ‘uncheck’ everything including cheese, but additionally I typed ‘no cheese’ in the comments. I’ve about given up. Drive back and they say the same thing as the last 2 times. ‘We must of just got your order mixed up with someone else’. Then has the nerve to ask if I want it remade….. of course I do. I wouldn’t have drove 20 min back if I didn’t what it remade. No apology or anything other than remaking the order that was incorrect in the first place. Then, the person checking customers out has an earbud in, along with the manager. It is what it is but seems a little unprofessional to me. It’s one thing if it’s people working in the back.

Good food and ok service. Online ordering seems to take precedent over a person standing there. Usually pretty friendly eventually. I like the sweet pork burrito and white sauce. Get a little side of their sour cream it’s pretty tasty. All locations are pretty comparable.

Great experience, food was delicious, hot and served right after cooking it fresh for you to order! Clean, cute, and felt that my health was a priority for them! They make their tortillas fresh in house and they are delicious and huge!! The staff were all very friendly, hard working, and on point with their service! Overall the experience and food was incredible, definitely recommend this place!
