One of the most popular spots in FoCo. I highly recommend the sweet pork enchiladas with creamy habanero sauce, I could eat this dish for the rest of my life. They prep the meat freshly in the restaurant which I really like because it shows how fresh it is.

Pre-ordered food for a graduation. Called and confirmed. Day of pick-up, the staff stated it was still in office and no one had pulled and filled. We had to wait while they filled the order.

Food: fresh, hot. Tasty.

We enjoyed the sweet pulled pork over all the meats, including chicken and beef. Beef didn’t have enough flavor, chicken was dry, unflavorful.

Service: good even though our order was not ready for us.

Return: when in town, potentially would try again. The graduate who requested the meat, is a frequent visitor and loves the food, service and value.

Large portions, reasonable prices, and great taste. They cook the tortillas right in front of you, which impressed my daughter. My only quibble was that an order of chips with a tiny serving of guacamole was over $5. Still, with the reasonable prices on the meals, it wasn’t bad.

A little pricey, but I still come every time I’m here visiting family. Sweet pork smothered burrito every time. Their creamy habanero queso is the best thing ever. Nice large burritos as well, freshly done! Tons of leftovers.

Holy, portion size was insane but I am NOT at all complaining. I got the smothered burrito with sweet pork and it was more than enough. Service was pretty amazing—the guy on the line was nice, and the lady at the register had a fun personality. Ambiance was upbeat. For me coming in around 3pm, it was pretty busy! Cannot recommend this place enough, and I’ll for sure be back!

Good food, terrible service
Prepare to be yelled at for ordering food. Employees ignore patrons and cut in the drink line. Want tea to drink or your soft drink to be more than carbonated water, go somewhere else they will not be bothered to brew or change the syrup.

65 dollars will feed a family of 4 at about any Mexican restaurant in town, but no other restaurant will come with the pure disdain for customers that you get here

I’ve ordered from Cafe Mexicali a number of times through door dash, and most of those times I have received my burrito without my sauce. Sometimes without my guac as well but that’s immaterial to my complaint. If you are going to charge me $1.30 for a meager amount of sauce, it had better make it into the bag. I order two sides of sauce and not even one container makes it into the bag in these specified times. Have you ever eaten one of your burritos , without your sauce? Because I promise you it’s the equivalent is the grool they eat on ‘The Nebuchadnezzar’ from the hit motion picture ‘The Matrix’s. Do better.

I had a great experience at Cafe Mexicali. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The restaurant has a nice outdoor patio with heaters and fire pits, which is perfect for chilly nights. The menu offers a variety of Mexican dishes, from tacos and enchiladas to salads and soups.

I ordered the steak smothered burrito, which was delicious and filling. The steak was tender and juicy, and the burrito was covered with cheese and green chili sauce. I would give the food a 4/5. However, it was still very tasty and satisfying. The service was excellent, as our staff was attentive and courteous. I would give the service a 5/5 because the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere was also very pleasant, as the restaurant was clean and spacious. The decor was colorful and festive, with Mexican art and music creating a lively vibe. I would give the atmosphere a 5/5 because it was cozy and inviting.

Overall, I had a wonderful time at Cafe Mexicali, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Fort Collins. It is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family or to celebrate a special occasion.

Looked run down, not clean, however food tasted good. Bought chips and salsa but very little salsa. Hoping they would give me more salsa, but surprised that they charge $1 per for salsa extra. The kitchen guy was in the cashier and was very rude to me. I would never go back.

So tasty! The pork barbacoa is divine and every order is at least two meals! It’s handy that each order comes in an aluminum pan so you can easily add a lid and take the leftovers home. Tortillas fresh off the grill. And so many hot sauces to choose from! Love the big, roomy, high ceilings and lots of seating near the windows. Cafeteria style- order then sit. This is a definite go-to!
