I have eaten at cafe metro for holiday parties and have always had a great time, but recently we had them cater a holiday party at a different location and they just absolutely went above and beyond. It was Jeanne and one other staff member, who unfortunately I didn’t get the name of, but they had appetizers out right away and kept them filled with ease. The stuffed mushrooms were INCREDIBLE! I’ve had them before, but they were absolutely delectable this time. After apps, they had the food out buffet style, and again made sure everything remained filled. Even though it was buffet style, they still went around to clear off the tables for people. Dessert followed suite, which was also excellent. My personal favorite is the peanut butter cheesecake, but you really can’t go wrong with any of their desserts. But what really stood out to me is that they then proceeded to pack up all the extra food so people could take it to go!! I mean, I’ve never ever seen a caterer do that. Jeanne even packed me up my own peanut butter cheesecake to go because she knew it was my favorite. They are just outstanding, personable, and I truly thank them. They work so hard. I hope we can use them for other events besides the holiday party because they just went above and beyond. Thank you so much cafe metro, and specifically Jeanne!

I highly recommend this place. We went for a quick lunch and were able to sit right away. My wife had a kale salad with grilled shrimp. I had some chicken wings and potatoe soup. The service was personable and very prompt. Try it if you have a chance.

My clients picked this spot for lunch. I decided to get the vegetable stir fry. When I arrived I told the nice server that I was picking up, she told me they were packing it. Another lady came out and told me it will be a little more time so I sat and waited. It took about another 10 to 15 minutes. I dropped off the food and when I got in I ate. The stir fry was very filling but it was just ok in taste. I had to add a little hot sauce and it needed a little season salt but it wasn’t bad, it was just ok. I would need to give another one of their dishes a try.

I had the gluten free veg pizza here a few weeks ago and it was really good. Went back and had it again and the gluten free crust was raw so I asked if they could put it back in the oven for a few more minutes. It comes back still raw. I’m hungry and everyone else at my table already finished their meal so I just eat the veggie topping. I inform our server that it’s still raw and explain that gluten free crust cooks differently and might need to be par-baked to cook evenly. I take a spoon and scoop off the raw dough. She sees and confirms that it is indeed raw. She comes back with the check and tells us the kitchen said it was fully cooked. Me and others sitting at the table are dumbfounded because we all saw the gummy goo that came off the crust was not cooked a few minutes earlier. I ask her to clarify and she says that it was cooked on the bottom and it’s “just wet from the veggies”. She totally denied that it was raw. It was really strange, ridiculous, and surprising because we didn’t ask for anything, I just wanted to let them know the pizza was raw and I was disappointed because last time it was good. The crust was cooked on the bottom and edges but was completely raw under the sauce and toppings. The moisture of the sauces and toppings prevent it from cooking thoroughly. Gluten free crust sometimes needs to be par-baked, otherwise, the crust will cook unevenly. They still charged us the $3 up charge for an inedible gluten free crust. It’s is a real bummer because they have gluten free crust and vegan cheese but after this insane reaction and gaslighting from the staff, I’m done with this place.

Understaffed on a Friday night? Sheesh, if tables can’t be served in less than an hour after ordering, they shouldn’t be sat down. My party waited nearly 90 minites for food and 20 minutes just to order.
Wait staff was obviously overworked beyond belief and kitchen was definitely feeling the heat. Management needs to fix these issues. Hire more people front and back of house or you’ll keep getting complaints about the wait times.
Food was of varying deliciousness. My chicken, for example, was fabulous. The ravioli was hard (not al dente) and sauce had been reduced from how it came in the can. Pork chops were dry but sauce/pineapple was adequate.
Kitchen wouldn’t have been able handle our dessert order because it was nearly 9 o’clock closing after our 2 hour ordeal.
Would I ever come again? Definitely not. I can cook a meal consistently better than this place in half the time, and I’m no chef.
2 stars for the fabulous chicken, otherwise 1 star for literally everything else.

My experience at this restaurant WVERY TIME is fantastic. My waiter Patrick was the most conscientious waiter I’ve had in a long time, and funny too! Their food is delicious and hearty, without leaving you feeling guilty. I. Must. Go. Again. I’m definitely a new regular!
