Phenomenal breakfast that creativity profiles delicious combinations! Thr menu is so diverse that it was difficult to land on a single choice. The chicken and waffles entree is bursting with flavors, flawlessly balancing savory, sweet and smoky notes. The meals are generous and yet reasonably priced – especially for its high quality. The environment is comfortable and the service welcoming. The entire meal was deeply satisfying.

We frequent the Land regularly but haven’t eaten here in a few years. They are still cranking out some really delicious food. My son ordered the salmon entree with broccolini and mash. Hubby got the chicken and waffles. I ordered a club like Sammy with chicken, avocado, cheese, lettuce &mater. All were really terrific. Hats off to the chef! Whoever you are——-thank you for taking pride in your work and delivering great plates! My Sammy not only looked amazing but tasted SO good. The restaurant filled up quickly after opening. Our suggestion is to have more servers/wait staff on hand. It seemed like only 1 or 2 people were waiting tables. Nobody checked on us after the food was placed and it took time to get the check. This is a great place and want this establishment to stick around. Thanks for a great meal! Ps. Prices were affordable!!!!!

We just happened to find this place on a Tuesday. They have the best tacos I’ve ever had in all my 69 years . I’ve tried tacos just about everywhere you have to stop at Melissa’s they have the best food the nicest people working there. We will make this a normal place to stop since they are open till 8:00 p.m.. I have an excellent staff an awesome cook we highly recommend you stop in and see this place. Today was my first time ordering food from Cafe Melissa location in avon lake ohio really enjoy the fried green tomatoes. And also the crab cake burger which was very delicious definitely will come back again. I was not disappointed at all And customer service was very nice and very helpful with the menu keep up with the good work.

not everyone wants parmesan cheese as a main topping on breakfast potatoes and you should specify the fact of them being present upon ordering. one would think it would be an addition the customer asks for anyways. the potatoes appeared awkwardly varying sizes to the point where it was quite revolting. i don’t even know how you call these things “breakfast potatoes.” i think this was an attempt at “fancy” but fails miserably. why not stick to classic breakfast potatoes and if you want to season use salt and pepper only…

Just moved back to the area and this is definitely one of my favorite eateries.
Food has always exceeded my expectations and the staff are so friendly. Will definitely be back. For the best Nashville “sweet” hot chicken sandwich.

Stopped for lunch. Huge portions- I got fish n chips (sweet potato fries) , so yummy. My husband got the chicken pot pie, and my son got a cheeseburger and fries. Also, the carrot cake and turtle cheesecake was amazing. Took those to go. The atmosphere is super cozy, and you’d never guess what the inside of the restaurant looks like from the location or the outside. Was my first time visiting and I’ll definitely be back.

This is a cozy little eatery with a nice ambiance. I like the choice of 70s-90s music piped in at a low volume. The servers are very nice, attentive and efficient. Parking is easy. Melissa’s in University Hts. was one of my favorites, so I wanted to like this one more than I do. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is very inconsistent and often disappointing. Although the dishes look interesting and appealing on the menu, there aren’t many dishes I would actually order again. The food I’ve ordered for takeout doesn’t travel well either, even for one mile. Also all of the tables are annoyingly sticky. I so want to love this place, but sadly I don’t.

There was a large event across the street so probably wasn’t a good decision to pick this day on our part but this was our 2nd attempt. We tried breakfast a month ago but they didn’t open until 11.
This visit…..the two young servers are a bit overwhelmed but they kept going without showing frustration. It seemed disorganized in seating and service. We waited to be seated, served and then the check way longer than is usual in a restaurant. Others waited longer. Could definitely use a busperson which would help immensely (who wants to walk in and see multiple tables needing clearing).
I went out of my norm and tried the shrimp and grits which sounded flavorful. At first look, I was hesitant and planned on taking half home. I was wrong on both accounts. My final analysis on the dish was YUM.
