From the genius culinary minds that brought us Fourth Taco…. a specialty coffee shop! What sets Cafe Martha apart is their unique, handmade coffee creations, like the cherry vanilla sparkling cold brew and peanut butter mocha smoothie. All of the syrups are made in-house, and the quality is apparent. The food offerings are all excellent as well—this is a great place to grab a breakfast sandwich on a croissant, a salad and smoothie for lunch, or some gorgeous pastries.

Cafe Martha now occupies the former Fog & Flame coffee shop, and I had the pleasure of visiting Bloomsburg to experience this exciting transition. They say not to judge a book by its cover, but in this case, you can judge an espresso drink by its latte art—because this was the best cappuccino I’ve had in months. Best wishes to Cafe Martha and I look forward to stopping by again whenever I’m passing through!

If you are a coffee aficionado, this is hands down the go-to place in downtown Bloomsburg.
Formerly known as Fog & Flame. Cafe Martha has kept the GREAT ambiance, maintained if not improved the coffee menu, and is now expanding its food menu to include delicious meal options. Hard to not like anything about that! Everything is reasonably priced, and staff is most friendly.
With respect to one negative review I saw…it is clear from her review that she has a preference for sweetening her coffee in order to remove the “bitter” taste. As I joked with my university students who have the same taste preference, she likes syrup with her coffee.
Of course, everyone has their own taste preferences, For example, I prefer beans that were naturally processed as opposed to being washed because it gives the coffee a more floral taste. Some prefer washed beans because it gives a more chocolatey flavor. I’m personally not into the syrups, but Cafe Martha does seem to have a unique variety of flavors available. Even my students who like syrup with their coffee love this place.
I say all of this to make the following point: if you’re someone who actually knows and appreciates how coffee is roasted, brewed, etc., you’ll enjoy the coffee here for sure.

I wasn’t impressed with the girl working at the counter grabbing her butt while I’m ordering my coffee . So loud and obnoxious talking to other people
The coffee was SUPER hot , the cups were leaking .

The coffee was so bitter. I asked if they could add something to it to take the bitterness away. For 75 cents I could add flavored syrup. Would not even offer a substitute at no charge. I was told add sugar. I don’t use sugar in coffee.
