Love the lattes! I’ve tried the seasonal maple latte and chai latte (both with non dairy milk since I’m lactose intolerant) and been very pleased with this coffee shop. One of my favorite coffee shops for working. Lots of tables that seat parties of 1-2, strong wifi, lots of outlets to plug in. They also offer restrooms to customers, a few free parking spots, and outdoor kid/dog friendly seating. The owner and barista are very nice, and I enjoy personal/community oriented touches at this coffee shop – free postcards/postage for customers and a community board near the restrooms.

One of the best spots for coffee in the Ypsi / Ann Arbor area. A converted mechanic’s garage, they have left a few remnants as decoration, which adds a cool touch to the ambience. The window garage doors means the entire main wall lets in natural light. Fresh local pastries round out great coffee and wonderful specialty drinks – the Madeleine Latte is a personal favorite of ours. There is limited parking on-site but plenty of street parking. A true gem!

my favorite coffee shop in all of Washtenaw. They make top notch lattes and really care about the quality of their coffee. Pastries are also delicious, staff is super friendly, and the vibe is great for a breakfast conversation or to get some work done

Firstly, the place is beautiful. Pastries were incredible. The coffee was incredibly well made.
This is worth a longer bus ride.

Giving it three stars for an average black coffee that cost almost $5! I just got their standard black coffee and the bill seemed crazy high especially when I can go to other local cafes (independently owned, roasts their own beans, ethically sourced) with equal quality in coffee for almost half the price right up the road. I didn’t try their specialty lattes or food, so I can’t comment on that but man their coffee is expensive.

**A Cozy Haven in Ypsilanti – Cafe Liv**
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Liv in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and I can confidently say it’s a must-visit, even though I’m not a coffee drinker myself. The owner’s incredible warmth and friendliness make you feel right at home the instant you walk in.
While I’ve heard nothing but praise for their coffee, their selection of teas is where they truly won me over. The variety is fantastic, from robust black teas to soothing herbal blends, all served with an attention to detail that elevates each cup. The ambiance is just as delightful, cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect place to unwind or catch up with friends.
The owner’s enthusiasm for both coffee and tea is contagious; baristas are happy to guide you through their menu, ensuring you find something you’ll love. Even though I don’t partake in coffee, I can vouch for the quality and care put into every beverage here, based on the satisfied smiles around me.
Cafe Liv is more than just a place for a drink; it’s a community space where you’re treated like family. If you’re ever near Ypsilanti, this is the spot to enjoy some exceptional tea or, as I’ve gathered, some of the best coffee around. Highly recommended!

Love the vibe. Bright and area with plenty of seating options. They offer pastries and include gluten free options which is great. The customer service was great. I had a lavender latte for the first time. It was absolutely delicious. My only critique is the coffee be a bit warmer. Other than that, it was wonderful. I’ll be back!

I was on the bus heading to my parent’s house after work and noticed this place so I came by to check it out and it is really nice, the atmosphere was great! The pistachio latte is what I got and it’s delicious and looked beautiful. I am glad they asked for a name and didn’t automatically put down what’s on my job’s name-tag which is my deadname that I am told I have to wear at work since I haven’t felt comfortable legally changing my name yet, but that’s not the point.
I was a bit sad that no pastries were available but I showed up a couple hours before close and on New Year’s eve so it made sense.

The first time I came to check out Cafè Liv was on a weekend and they were so busy there was no street parking and from the outside, it didn’t look like there were any available tables. I was a little bummed but also more excited to try them out since it looked like so many people love this place. Decided to give them a try on a Monday instead and was so happy with my experience! The lattes were absolutely incredible, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, vibes were immaculate, and even though a number of people came in while we were there, we still got a great seat by the big windows and got to enjoy the ambiance. We had a Toffee Crunch latte (blue cup) and a Chloe latte (green cup). Definitely a new favorite spot for us in Ypsi.

Super cute cafe. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Decent amount of bakery selections. Bright space. I would make this 4.5 stars only because prices and sizes of drinks weren’t listed on their menu on the wall. Would love more transparency on that. Will definitely be back here for a work day though.
