Cafe Laurel is next-level delicious. This Cuban-inspired spot nails it on every front from the warm, inviting ambience that’s perfect for real conversations and connecting with friends, to the truly unforgettable food.

Where else can you find a lechón croissant and a guava & cheese waffle on the same menu? Add in the chicken salad with the perfect amount of adobo, and you’ve got flavors that keep you talking long after the plates are cleared.

Our friends and we left smiling from ear to ear. Can’t wait to come back and eat our way through more of the menu.

Definitely, one of the best French restaurants in Miami.
We arrived around 7:00 pm and the dining room was surprisingly empty at first, but by 8:30 pm the place filled up and really came to life.
Brasserie Laurel gets French cuisine right — classic, precise, and respectful of tradition. Foie gras, French onion soup, frog legs, Beef Wellington — every dish was balanced, well-executed, and true to its roots.
Service was genuinely great. Friendly, professional, and perfectly timed — attentive without hovering or rushing. You feel taken care of, but never pressured.
The only small disappointment was that escargot and beer weren’t available that evening — especially since escargot was one of the main reasons we chose to come here. That said, the quality of the food and service more than made up for it.

Had a great time and would absolutely come back.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and from the very beginning the staff made us feel truly welcome. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary welcome glass and warm congratulations, which immediately set the tone for the evening.

We started with oysters and were very impressed with their freshness and presentation. The French Onion Soup was absolutely outstanding — a rich beef broth with delicate, sweet notes of perfectly caramelized onions and a beautifully melted cheese crust.

For the main courses, we ordered the gnocchi with an incredible sauce and the Wellington, both cooked to perfection and full of flavor. For dessert, we chose the flan — delicate, well-balanced, and the perfect ending to the meal.

The bar deserves special mention as well: the cocktails were excellent and crafted with great care. A lovely bonus is that the restaurant also offers happy hour, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Everything from the food to the service and atmosphere was exceptional. We will definitely be back.

Be aware that this restaurant has completely changed. It is no longer the fancy French restaurant that serves the delicious dishes shown in their photos. They are now serving only breakfast and lunch in a very American style (burgers, fries, sandwiches), with just a couple of French items (onion soup and croissants).
We were a bit shocked when we arrived and saw the menu because we were expecting something very different. The food was not special at all—very average. For example, I ordered the bowl, and it came with rice, some vegetables on the side, and grilled chicken. There were no sauces or anything, so it felt very bland.
The atmosphere was not great either. Besides the restaurant being empty, it felt very quiet, serious, and not very welcoming.
On the other hand, the service and staff were marvelous—super nice and attentive. They were definitely the best part of this new restaurant concept.
Hopefully they will open for dinner again and bring back the French dishes shown in the photos. Currently, almost nothing you see in the photos is actually available at the restaurant, so they should update the pictures to avoid misleading customers.

I had brunch for a friend’s birthday. We had miami spice brunch. The selection was less but good enough. The escargot was delicious also the avocado soup. They gave us a complimentary guava mimosa for the occasion and treated us very well!

This place was fantastic. Got a burger, Cuban sandwich, and a salad. All were very very good tasting and high quality. The side salad was made with fresh lettuce that looked like they picked each leaf off of a buttery smooth head of baby lettuce. The pricing was very reasonable for what felt like a high end experience. The staff were very attentive and professional. We just got off a cruise ship, walked over, and had an excellent experience. Service was as good as if we were still on the ship. Food was probably better than the ship. Btw, the double patty burger is a smash burger. That was an excellent surprise.
