This cafe is okay at best. They had a special promotion going on here which was nice which was that if you order a sandwich you get a free matcha latte. The matcha latte should have been called milk with matcha and not a matcha latte. The latte had so little matcha that you could barely taste or see the matcha. The sandwich was alright. I wasn’t a big fan of the ham or the way the eggs were cooked in the sandwich. The bread and the cheese were decent. The atmosphere in the cafe is nice so if you want a coffee shop to study at on the weekend this could be the place. Other than that maybe its best to go somewhere else in downtown san jose.

Just the right salt of avocado pesto sandwich, and the espresso is brewed well. Overall, delicious. The cafe had improved so, with piano and Italian aesthetics for indoor and outdoor, and the staff handle greatly than last time. I would come again and taste many coffee brews and good sandwiches.

Nice setting, good music. This place could be so much more. We did dine it, but were served our food in Togo containers and plates. Food definitely average. Good coffee. Cardinal rules violated
– Cappuccino was more like a latte
– Uncooked pastry at the bottom of the quiche
This place probably caters to students
There is a Philz next door 🙂

This review is primarily for their new Mediterranean Bowl Bar. I work nearby so have stopped at this quaint cafe to pick up a pastry in the past. I noticed the other day that they had some new Mediterranean Salad Bowl so I went in to check it out. Turns out, they just started doing a Chipotle-style build your bowl. The lady who helped me was so nice and walked me through all the options. All of the ingredients are homemade fresh there and I must say, I was very impressed. You get to pick a base, main, 3 dips, toppings, and a dressing. I opted for 1/2 quinoa/greens, 1/2 chicken/grilled veggies, hummus, tzatziki, feta, pickled onions, cabbage, pickles, olives. For dressing, I tried the creamy garlic. The bowl size was huge and everything was delicious!
It’s a small place, so seating can be a little limited, but definitely will be back to pickup another salad bowl. It’s so nice to have another healthy bowl option in the area that offers fresh ingredients. I hope they continue to offer this.

We go here on the weekends. Parking can be tough but is worth it. I really like their sandwiches. My husband likes the turkey bistro on baguette. It’s healthy and uses good quality ingredients. My favorite is the chicken pecan sandwich in croissant. Very creamy and not too sweet. Has apples which give it a nice crunch. The place has new ownership but has made a lot of improvements to the place such as self order kiosk. This allows the workers to focus on making sandwiches and drinks quicker. But from what I can tell the improved efficiency doesn’t mean lower quality. The staff are super sweet and friendly. They always have a smile and seem to really enjoy working their.

Yum! I am in love with the ham, apple, and brie sandwich on a croissant. I’ve never had anything here that wasn’t good, and the staff are always super kind. Great spot for a casual, yummy lunch.

Not sure why the low reviews. To be honest, I enjoyed this cafe! It is small, yet if you get a table it’s very comfortable with WiFi and outlets. The iced honey matcha latte was really good as well!

Small sit-in or sit-out café. It’s like an American café with San Jose flair. Student run front of house. Don’t come expecting a Parisian brunch spot. The branding concept is *different* calling it La Lune Sucreé but then looking at the menu options, all that to say: you’ll still enjoy it very much.
You should know the tea is better than the coffee. Sandwich options are far less French.
Fast and great service today. Refreshing pit stop. Reasonable prices to feed oneself on the go.
Veggie options!! I got the vegan avocado pesto sandwich but I believe the croissant is made with dairy butter. So 3.5/4 stars.. French fried onions were a delightful surprise imo but definitely not French haha.
Hope to see more vegan options as the place grows and tries out even more creative things ❤️ hint hint Hot For Food’s recipe for a Monte Cristo… Would you consider it Owner?

Very pleasantly surprised to find a freshly baked pastry shop still active in downtown San Jose! I absolutely melt over a good almond croissant and theirs is no exception. Fully covered with slivered almonds and I’m pretty sure there was a bit of chocolate inside, too. With a cup of coffee you will be in heaven. Next time I will try to get there well before 20 minutes before close and check out the rest of their selection! There was outdoor seating in the alleyway where you could get some fresh air, too. *PS, nice to see a place with a grammatically correct foreign name! Feminine adjectives add an e in French so this place is in my book on that alone *

Very chill atmosphere. Great coffee, hits the spot. Crepes are great reasonably priced for its size.
