What a great lil spot! Very friendly staff. Interesting ambiance. The vegan food was very good with sizable portions. Fair enough prices given the location. Limited Street parking.
I just wish people would wake up to the monumental PFA problem in the Cape Fear river. The water supply is contaminated and restaurants and staff should be made aware of it and filtered water should be cooked with and given to customers. I loved our server and the vegan tostadas were yummy.

The Christmas decor in this place is incredible. I had to take a tour first thing and see all the new festive displays. You have to come check it out during their Christmas Pop up Bar.
Today I had a delicious brunch. Service was fabulous from the moment we were greeted at the door until we were thanked on our way out. The team was busy but we never felt rushed. One of my favorite Southport spots. I had the Mr Bojangles omelet with a side of potato wedges and toast.

Cafe Koa offers many vegan options and I’m consistently impressed with their quality. The tofu in my “you can’t curry love” was perfectly crispy on the outside. Every Thursday they bring in a new cake offering for the week, which also is sometimes offered as gluten free and vegan. There is indoor and outdoor seating here. The vibe inside is chill and has interesting artwork. I continue to return; thank you, Cafe Koa!

One of the most fun dining experiences I’ve had here! Such a festive, fun, original atmosphere, lots of unique weekly events. We came for the Holiday-themed cocktails. Can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I had brunch at Cafe Koa on Saturday morning the 27th of September and we were extremely pleased with everything. My wife got the Monterey jack omelette and I got the Brunch Board and we shared. The portions are great and the prices are reasonable. Our server Avery did a wonderful job. We will definitely be back.

Was recommended this pace by one of our frd. We absolutely loved what we ordered – vegan “Santana” and vegan “could u be loved”. Finding a tasty cooked tempeh is not very usual but this place had the best of it. I love that they have separate vegan options, it makes our life so easy. Also love their latte – “Walk this way”, absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend to all vegan and non vegan peeps.

The food was delicious and the staff were amazing but the star of the show was the place itself. The decorations and artistry on the walls was stunning. Found out that the owner herself painted the art on the walls. I would recommend this place for the food as well as the atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back the next time we are in Southport. Also, get the Trash Can Nachos!!

Oh my gosh – We loved this restaurant!! Of course being so close to the water the vibe is chill, the music is jammin’, the drinks are great, and the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I went on Saturday, March 22nd around 11:40am and there was no wait, we were seated pretty quickly, and our waitress was lovely. (I went with two Omni-eaters and it’s always a challenge for me to find a spot that has vegan menu items AND Omni options and this place hit the nail on the head. A master of both Omni dishes and Vegan cuisine!)

I ordered from the brunch menu – the “Santana” w/ fried potatoes (you’ll have to ask to sub the Fried Wedge Potatoes instead of the Sun-Up Salad) and let me tell you that was AMAZING!!!
– The other two individuals in our little group ordered a “Rocket Man” and she said that was “so freakin’ awesome” … her only comment was she wished it packed a little more spice w/ it having hot honey and all she was expecting more heat. And the other guest order a child’s cheesburger and they gobbled it up but did not like the house made “pickles” – which were cucumbers they started to pickle but definitely tasted like they dipped them in vinegar and called it a day haha

I’ll post pics of my meal food and the menus – so please check it out!

Really great brunch spots with delicious boozy drinks and proseccos flights and excellent food. Service was good too. Be prepared to wait in line as the restaurant is small for the demand.
