I am a long time customer of cafe italia since 2010 best pizza in the region easily. But prices are too high now, service is good but the huge downfall is the rushing of customers out of the restaurant, huge dissatisfier. Used to be able to go with family, take a bottle of wine, sit eat and drink more if we wanted at our leisure. Now the manager is constantly watching and trying to get you out, even if its a birthday celebration. This is why I only go a couple times a year, thats it. Sad cuz used to be my favorite restaurant. El Paso is not New York, no need to rush your paying customers out, maybe extend your operating hours.

Very disappointing. Used to love dining here often. Unfortunately one man ruined this whole restaurant for all of my family. We will no longer be dining here. He was really rude. We requested a table away from the bathrooms of which that simple request pissed him off apparently. He mentioned he had no tables available to move us to. While the whole time we ate there, there were at least 5 empty tables. Walking out noticed he was just sitting down drinking his glass of white wine. Maybe he was having his alcohol withdrawal and couldn’t appreciate or care for the customers. Good bye Cafe Italia.

Currently eating here. Shrimp linguine is good. Pizza, smoked mozzarella and sausage was solid. 7 shrimps with my pasta serving. Service is good, attentive with drinks. Only complaint was ambient volume. Music was pretty loud, bar level, which combined with guest chatter was averaging 88-92db. Too loud for an evening dining spot. Easy fix.

A great Italian restaurant that lets you bring in your own bottle of wine ! I think the simple menu highlights classic Italian cuisine and makes ordering easy. I tasted the spaghetti and meatballs paired with a Chianti Classico red wine to complement the dish. The atmosphere adds a level of warmth to the dinning experience.

The question ultimately comes down to whether or not you should spend your money here. In all honesty, used to be yes but is now a no. Last two experiences have not been good. Food had been good but if you have been to other cities, it is not special. I would in the past have recommended it but there is definitely better value out there.

The service is incredibly out of touch. Please read the other reviews about patrons being rushed out. Being rushed out is a theme. Yes, they will literally pack your food when they think it is time for you to leave. Other reviewers have left similar experiences in their reviews. I understand needing to be profitable but it comes across as either desperate to pay the bills or greedy. If you read my other reviews, I am very fair with my reviews. I am not the type to write things to harm. For what they charge, it is a strange way of doing things.

Final thoughts. For 100 dollars for two people, I no longer believe this is a recommendation . Its hard to spend 100 dollars on a place that will rush you out. Please read the other reviews so you can see that people are not exaggerating about the things I have stated. A 3.8 is not great.

Sadly, I used to recommend this place but I will be taking the recommendation back. I am careful with leaving bad reviews because this is people’s livelihood, but this place can have a souring effect on customers that were once happy with it.

I recommend Ripe, Crave, Sunset 150, for the same amount of money.

The pizza was incredible and so was the caprese. While the salmon was super fresh and perfectly crisp both that and the steak do feel a bit overpriced especially because the wood fired taste doesn’t come through fully. I’ve heard the owner can rush people out, which seems counter to the vibe they’re trying to create. The espresso machine is great so I recommend a shot if you want some of the Italian feel.

Best thing about this place is the bread, caprese, and pizza in that order. That bread is so good, I would go there just for it. Pepperoni pizza was kind of greasy, but caprese was fresh and delicious. Service was pretty quick for it being full house. Worth going for a hot date or celebratory dinner for two. Don’t let other people complain about minor things deter you away from this delicious bread. Kind of pricy but you pay for what you get and its 2024, not 1990, so inflation is a thing.

You can bring your own wine… but it’s weird they charge you for bringing your own and they won’t serve it….

The WORST experience ever!!!! We came, and had a male server at first who just disappeared, then someone else brings my husbands plate, which was mediocre salmon, ten minutes before my plate. We tell some random waiter walking by “if he can check the status of my chicken alfredo because the entire purpose of going out is to eat together “, and my husbands plate was getting cold. They bring it out five minutes later, a girl just tosses it on the table and I say THANK YOU, she doesn’t apologize for the wait, say YOUR WELCOME, or is there anything else I can get you. All that wait for an inedible salty chicken alfredo. It was soooo salty, with zero flavor aside from that. Then my husband has to walk to the back for napkins. What a terrible experience. The music was so loud, not a good date night place either… And for $100 for 2 meals and an appetizer, I would expect some effort. Never again

This Cafe Italia is the one that you should go !!!

First of all, the environment is very nice (will try dining at their patio when weather is cooler ), the service is very nice, and the food is AWESOME

Last time we came as a group, we started from their caprese, OMG, probably the best mozzarella cheese I’ve ever tasted, and came along their margarita pizza and ribeye, just fantastic.

Tonight I ordered their house salad and salmon, salad was so fresh, that you can taste the flavour of vegetables, regarding to the salmon, the meat and cooking both on point !!!

Food here is very good. Especially loved the Margherita. But the service and the environment doesn’t seem to match the food. The menu is saying upscale Italian. The environment is saying American bistro. Also, drink menu is very limited…no wine by the glass. $8 bottle fee to bring your own.

Worth a try! I might do take out next time.
