Café Intermezzo is a charming European-style café and restaurant right in the heart of Midtown Atlanta — great for coffee, desserts, brunch, lunch, or late-night treats. The atmosphere feels cozy, upscale, and a bit romantic, with rich wood tones, soft lighting, and elegant décor that make it a nice place to relax or catch up with friends.
Highlights:
☕ Excellent coffee, cappuccinos, and specialty drinks — perfect any time of day.
Desserts and cakes are a standout — the huge selection of cheesecakes and tortes is often mentioned as a must-try.
️ The menu covers breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner with options like crepes, salmon pasta, salads, and French classics.
It’s also open late night on weekends, which makes it a fun spot for a post-dinner dessert or drink.
What to Know:
• Seating is first-come, first-served, and it can get busy during peak brunch and weekend dinner hours.
• Paid parking nearby is convenient and often validated by the café.
• Some dishes get mixed reviews — desserts and drinks usually shine more than some savory entrees.
Overall: A go-to Midtown spot for great coffee, decadent desserts, and European café vibes — ideal for brunch dates, dessert outings, or a relaxed nightcap.

Sunday night, babe, and I decided to have an impromptu date night here. We showed up around 7 p.m., and we were seated immediately. I decided on the Mexican hot chocolate, and he ordered an Americano. He enjoyed his cup of coffee, but my drink was more exciting. My rich cup of chocolate goodness had me feeling warm and cozy on the inside. We weren’t hungry, but I’m a sucker for a cookies and cream cheesecake. I loved looking at the different layers. It was filled with cookies, and the slice was more than enough for 2. The creamy goodness was worth every calorie.
2 hours late, we were still there, so we decided to sip on some alcoholic beverages. I got my fave, Expresso Martini, which was really amazing. He got a man man drinks, but once again, mine was more exciting.
My only dislike is finding parking. We opted to park across from the hotel, and that was $21. Besides that, we love coming here after shows or just for a warm sip. Always good customer service, nice ambiance, and delicious drinks.

This place is top notch and very aesthetic. Lots of coffee and dessert options. The tiramisu and hot chocolate were exquisite. The hostess was very warm and polite. There was a wait time about 15 mins on weekends. Note – there is no free parking nearby.

Café Intermezzo is a quaint and classic Midtown staple. The vibe is uniquely European and there are many food and beverage options. We stopped in for a pick-me-up and snack. We got the hummus (yummy and the naan was hot and fresh), a Nutella-banana crêpe, and a couple hot drinks. I got a Cubano latte: just the right amount of sweetness, but I would have appreciated some latte art or at least more dense foam. Our server was very friendly and outgoing and the midday atmosphere was nice and relaxed.

Café Intermezzo — Midtown exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the best brochette I’ve ever had: the bread was fresh and pleasantly crisp, the tomatoes and sauce were absolutely outstanding, and every bite was full of flavor. The truffle hot chocolate was excellent as well — rich, smooth, and a perfect finish. Highly recommended.

Nice European cafe, that remembers french places.
The menù offers a good variety of options, both salty and sweet.
When you enter you will see immediately the cakes, and they are very inviting, tried the white chocolate and raspberry and was super good.
Also the eggs Benedict with salmon were very nice.

Went for brunch and had a croissant with scrambled eggs and a cappuccino, everything was excellent. The food was fresh, the coffee was rich and smooth, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even better.
Five stars for great flavors, good service, and a perfect Midtown brunch spot.

Would totally go here again. The servers the ambience and the seating – everything is absolutely amazing.
I had the latte and a vegan strawberry cake. Both were fantastic.
My wife is a fan of the hot chocolate Berlin and that was great too
They have a ton of vegan options so that was a huge plus

Arrived with no reservation, asked to sit outside and were sat promptly. Outside seating has plenty of room for single, paired, or even small groups. Would be a cute spot to pull up a book and eat a nice breakfast while enjoying the city around you.
It was a peaceful meal— service was quick and the food was definitely good! This spot is certainly joining my “go-to” for local breakfast spots.

Amazing! So convenient for a very late night dinner (past 10pm). I did miss the parking lot and parked at AAA Parking (don’t do that! $21 for 12 hours or 1 day as the only options!). I should have used street parking by going straight instead of turning right or just use their provided lot. And they validate parking(amazing!). I just didn’t know they had one as the last time I was there I was a pedestrian coming from GSU Campus.
I will definitely be back for coffee/tea, another cheesecake and try the pasta or the breakfast! Maybe another burger too? So many options!
