I’m usually quite the skeptic of “gourmet cupcakes.” I have faced significant disappointment on multiple occasions with them prior, so much so that I don’t purchase them anymore. I can’t justify spending the money, when they always look way better than they taste. HOWEVER, we went on a weekend trip to Prairie du Chien and it so happened to be during our daughter’s birthday. I googled the area for desserts, so we could still celebrate while we were out of our normal routine. I found Cafe Hope and the photos of the cupcakes looked amazing!!! But, being the skeptic I am now, I didn’t get too excited. My girls and I each picked out a cupcake, so we could try different flavors. Had it not been my daughter’s birthday, I probably would not have even purchased one for myself. I am not even exaggerating when I say these cupcakes were incredibly amazing!!! I can not wait to go back and try the other flavor options. We would have gone back the next day before our departure to get some more, but they were closed. If you’ve been a skeptic like myself, this place will definitely change your mind. (I have no plans of trying any others, no matter how good they look.) My birthday girl also ordered a cupcake frappe. As we walked out the door she said, “This is the best blended drink I’ve ever had! (That’s compared to Scooters, Starbucks, and local coffee shops) Do yourself a favor and check it out!!

Delicious CUPCAKES, peanut butter/chocolate, French silk and cookies and cream cheesecake, which were decoratively gorgeous. The 2 cake based cupcakes were filled in the middle too. The drinks we had, chai tea, cupcake frappe, made with the whole cheesecake cupcake (or for variety any cupcake of your choice) and a Bahama Breeze lotus tea. The drinks were also amazing. Cafe Hope’s mission is to support local efforts to educate and elevate individuals, with intellectual and physical needs, to gain greater independence. Who can’t support those efforts and eat/drink marvelous food in the process? It’s well worth a visit when you’re in Prairie du Chien, WI. They also have a gift shop with priced items and items available by donation. Again it’s worth the stop. (Peanut butter/chocolate cupcake pictured)

A very spacious Cafe bakery, the person working the front what’s very approachable and knowledgeable. Did not mind me looking around first. Cupcakes look delicious, the drink was good I had to citrus splash. If you’re ever in this part of the neighborhood definitely encouraged checking them out.

Spacious cafe with delicious cupcakes and cinnamon rolls. The prices were super reasonable too. They had a variety of coffee options and homemade energy drinks. They also had a lot of fun cup cake flavors. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available when we came around lunch time.

They made the most amazing lego cake for my daughters 6th birthday party. I had checked with many places and all said no they couldn’t do it, but Cafe Hope didn’t bat a eye. The kids were so thrilled that the little lego pieces on it were made of chocolate and edible as well.
Prices are comparable to other places for cakes, but they go over and beyond!
