So I had went out to their location on the east side before and found out that they had this new place over closer by me which I was so excited. So I decided to go over there and try it out. And I must say their pastries are so delicious. The customer service was great and I really appreciate a good sweet treat. I highly recommend trying this place out

First time trying Cafe Francais and making a choice was so hard! Everything looked delicious and just like the pictures. I got the truffle mash and crispy onion croissant and OMG it was so friggin good, creamy mash, the mushrooms were earthy, and the crispy onion was a perfect crunch. I also got the raspberry brownie, it was fishy and the raspberry icing was devine, excellent combo! I love the weekly menu changes, I’ll definitely be back to try otjer pastries. A must visit!

I tried the panna cotta croissant today, and it was perfect and visually stunning! Delicious and light, with many components that went into this pastry. Service was quick and friendly.
I’ve also tried pastries at the other location and can say the same — everything is delicious, and the weekly specials are always fun flavors. Thank you!

Cafe Français has really amazing food , you can tell everything is made fresh and with care. Their croissants are so good (even the simple ones), and the more specialty pastries are delicious as well. The place itself is very small, so when there’s a line it can get crowded and you may end up waiting outside. The staff can be friendly, though it sometimes depends on the day. It is on the pricier side (around $8 for a plain croissant and closer to $10+ for the fancier ones), so it’s more of an occasional treat for me than a regular stop. But when I do go, I’m never disappointed with the quality of the food.

I had a pastry and a baguette. The baguette was of a fair quality for a speciality baker. The pastry was enjoyable, but the price was higher than I expected. Call me parochial, but I’ve never seen a $10 almond or chocolate croissant in my life. Nice people inside. It’s a small store so fairly limited selection.

I will freely admit that I was a bit alarmed at the price tag ($7.50) of the croissant chocolat I had my sight set on. I mean, I’m a baker, and I know full well what goes into the creation of a really good croissant, so I get it. But, reader, when I tell you that one bite removed any possible sticker shock, I mean it. Perfect lamination, ratio of chocolate to dough, crunchy, tender, flaky pastry. Absolute perfection. I can’t wait to try some of their other offerings and I plan to bring my dear friends Phillipe and Capouchine when they visit this fall. Phillipe has been a chef for many decades. I know he will be impressed and delighted!

I really wanted to like this new location. I love supporting local but this location is very expensive and the ambiance is not good.

All the pastries are really pricy. Like $10+ pre tax. One of the items ordered was better heated, so I waited outside while it was warmed. That highlighted one of the locations problems – the space isn’t comfortable. There is no indoor seating and only a couple outdoor tables. If the weather isn’t ideal it’s not a fun time. The seating is along Alvernon so it’s busy with lots of traffic and car noise.

The pastries were ok/good but with the prices of other local places nearby (way cheaper) I don’t know that I’ll come back. That and the poor ambiance makes it less likely I’ll return.

I’d suggest making the drive to the east side location if you want a bit less traffic.
