Cafe Epicure has been on the Sarasota dining scene for over 20 years. Which is IMPRESSIVE in the world of restaurants. So they’re clearly doing something right. And that thing is the FOOD. The interior is quite lovely, the location is an excellent downtown corner with lots of outdoor seating on the sidewalks, but there is also a choice of seating options inside with a dedicated bar and high top communal table on one side (with tables as well) and a more casual Trattoria setting on the other side with a large flat screen TV playing daytime television.

Went for a nightcap only. Bartender was friendly, great service. Their house Old fashioned could use a higher quality, higher proof bourbon to greatly add to the taste profile of the drink. The Old Fashioned gets higher points for presentation.

Authentic Italian restaurant in downtown Sarasota. Excellent food and service at this sidewalk café. we had the Bolognese and Insalata di Mare. Both were exceptional. a couple of glasses of wine to wag it down. Nice little find. Update: we stopped a second time because the food was so good. Lasagna is amazing.

Visiting from Raleigh with 10 other women and this was a wonderful dining experience! The food was delicious – appetizers to dessert! I wish I had taken a picture of our food. We didn’t wait a long time for our food. Everything was correct and the server was so friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing with a good vibe. Must try!

Italian restaurants are not my favorite, but can’t deny I had a great time here. The staff is awesome. The food was delicious, even the spinach sauté was a little salty I do understand it happens. Completely ok. The environment is excellent. I really enjoyed my stay.

We originally just stopped in for a cocktail. Then we saw they had wood fired pizza. We had already eaten but we got one to try and it was excellent. Can’t wait to go back and have dinner someday. Diego, the bartender was nice.

Four of us decided to try Cafe Epicure for lunch. All of us were absolutely delighted with the quality of the food. We tried four different dishes, and the four dishes were excellent. The salads and desserts were of equal quality. The pasta, the chicken parmesan, were outstanding. We definitely will return. Wonderful atmosphere.

Have to say on all levels this restaurant was very disappointing. One waiter was rude to my 80+ year old mother because she was asking about other wine choices. He just said that was her only choice and rolled his eyes.
