Cafe Divan is a uniquely shaped Turkish restaurant in the heart of Georgetown, DC. It has beautiful full floor-to-ceiling windows that gives it a special view from inside the triangular shaped building, which sits on the corner intersection of Wisconsin and 34th Street.

It was around 7ish pm, we stopped by this cafe to get some Turkish coffee and tea with some homemade baklava before our 3 hour trip back home. We were greeted by the owner with hospitality and a big warm smile. Definitely take a visit and try their delicious menu!

Great food and drinks, but the SERVICE!! Oh my gosh!!! They were super kind and thoughtful—they even brought us big spray without us asking because they saw mosquitoes! Highly recommend.

After several visits this restaurant remains a DC favorite. The food is wonderful and service is excellent. We had the pleasure of meeting a friendly new server who has just arrived from Turkey. Not only was her service excellent but she also recovered my wallet which I had inadvertently dropped when leaving the restaurant. I am grateful for her diligence.

We went to this restaurant on a Saturday evening for dinner. Nobody was there except for us. The hostess (an Asian lady) was very reluctant to let us in and take our order. She didn’t even try to be nice!! We had to have dinner and were hungry, so we ordered anyway. Food was just ok, not the quality of Turkish food we expected. However, we will never be back to this place because of rude behavior of its serving staff.

Cafe Divan has a special place in my wife’s heart as it was a regular haunt while attending Corcoran. The restaurant itself is really pretty and cozy. Outdoor seating reminds me of Europe. Service is friendly. They have a nice variety of Turkish fair. The food itself is fair, but not quite worth the prices. Still I think this is a lovely first date spot. Give them a try, they’ve been a Glover Park institution for many years.

Delicious food. Would definitely go here again. Restaurant is a bit small. My only complaint is they did charge for water which seems a bit cheap (brought us a plastic bottle of water.)

Authentic Turkish cuisine and desert! Divan Mixed Platter is an exceptional choice and it really worths to try. Iskander kebab was really tender and delicious, the tomato sauce was not enough but the waitress brought us a big bowl of sauce free of charge. Kunefe and Sutlac were perfect and highly recommended! Overall, it was a great experience and highly recommended.
