We came in on a Friday night without reservation and were able to be seated at the bar, but I would definitely recommend making a reservation! They are busy. The food was very flavorful and the portions are big. We loved everything dish and will definitely be back!

I had dinner last night at this. Italian restaurant, I ordered the chicken Marsala. I haven’t had it in a long time.Could not find a place that made it correctly. Not only did they make it correctly it was probably the best one I’ve had in 20 years it, my wife had the chicken parmesan. And it was my birthday what a treat

I was passing through town solo, and a friend told me I should try this restaurant. I arrived 10 minutes before opening to find a lineup of folks trying to get in. Yes, it can be pretty popular (Sat night). I started with a salad which arrived with hot bread and a pretty amazing plate of garlic-packed olive oIl. Lovely delicious. For an entree I got the blackened chicken on penne. It was cooked so perfectly. I’m not a big fan of creamy sauces, so for me the pink sauce might have been better as a straight marinara. But that’s just a personal thing – as a creamy red sauce, it was well done. I finished with a dessert wine and imagined all the things I would try the next time I came back. Did I mention, that it’s a very friendly environment! And they packed my food to go (more than I could eat after the bread) in a container labeled with the contents and the date. A nice touch.

Let me start with this. They are only open 4 hours. So if you want to be guaranteed make a reservation.

With that said. Here’s what we had.

Mediterranean salad ⭐️ (I’d skip it)
Shrimp risotto ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chicken marsala ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Mediterranean salad could be good. The cucumbers were very bitter (those should be checked) and the mint isn’t complimentary to the dish. It was overwhelming with the flavor. And I’d do less basil. Also a bit overwhelming. (However I did tell them the dish wasn’t great and they didn’t charge me which was really sweet)

The shrimp risotto is worth getting. Ot could use a bit more flavor. The sauce with the shrimp is really good. The risotto itself seemed a bit firm and could be softer with more broth. But still a good dish and broccoli was cooked well.

The chicken marsala has pros and cons. The mushroom sauce is amazing! I’d love a bit more. If you don’t get much the noodles are a bit plain in flavor. The chicken wasn’t as tender as it should be but the dish is still a good dish.

Also. This must be said. The water is really really good! Like. Clean.

The reason for 5 stars, water, good food overall and removing my salad that didn’t taste good. The bread is warm and delicious!

Closed Monday and Tuesday, and they refused to seat us on Wednesday. We were there 1/2 prior to closing and they sent us away. We won’t be back.

Outdoor seating is small tables. no heaters, no patio, no terrace. Very small dining room and I imagine one needs a reservation in summer.

We we lucky enough to snag a new years eve dinner. It is the best Italian restaurant in the central coast. We had chicken marsala and the shrimp orcietta with a bottle of central coast wine. The evening was lovely.

The food was incredible, albeit it took a while to get to the table. The atmosphere and lighting was nice, apart from the fact that the main dining area was as loud as a high school cafeteria. They also forgot one of the things we ordered. All these are trivial though. The only reason I’m not giving this restaurant 5 stars is because the men’s bathroom window was wide open to any would be peeping Tom and I couldn’t close it.

The food was excellent! This was our first time to eat here, and it seemed like if you didn’t have a reservation, it was frowned upon, so make sure you make one if you’re able to. We were able to get in right when they opened up at 5 pm. and were very thankful because the food was amazing!
The younger waitress was very nice and helpful. We waited 45 mins- 1 hr for our food, but we highly recommend the wait! ❤️
