The staff were excellent, attentive without fussing, helpful with dish explanations and present with a calm competence
I had the muscles and greek salad with feta to start then steak with green pepper sauce for the main and finished with profiteroles for desert.
The muscles were slightly over cooked, a little chewy. The salad was good, crisp leaves, firm tomato and tasty feta. The steak wasn’t great, again slightly tough. The profiteroles, while tasty, were clearly not fresh and I believe had been frozen – not how I expect fresh cream to be treated!
The wines (tried two reds) were awful, undrinkable unfortunately. Their cocktails however were pretty good. Having started with a mojito, I stayed with that on tasting the wine. Overall a pleasant experience, the staff really were great, especially with such a large group occupying their attentions

I really enjoyed my meal here. The steak with Bordelaise sauce and gratin reminded me of France and transported me, temporarily, far from Djibouti. The staff were friendly and they accept credit cards.

This was the best food I had in Djibouti. There’s not much competition here & to be brutally honest most of the food I had in the country tasted weird or bad. But this restaurant served up the one legitimately good meal I had. Much better food than the Melting Pot, and the food at the Kempinski was bad, so come here instead. It’s pretty inside & also has/had a very interesting clientele. So it’s a good place to people watch & meet too. I got the mussels (moules) & gratin dauphinois, and tried the fish of the day and rice also.
Service was a bit slow/forgetful and food was only 5 stars by Djibouti standards, hence the 4 stars.

Delicious French food. It was a different take on cerviche. Duck was well prepared the sauce was excellent. Beef cooked to perfect temperature. Creme brulee was overdone, but five stars for the whole experience being the best around Djibouti City.

Definitely the best restaurant in Djibouti! I recommend the chicken Caesar salad to start and the steak in the mushroom gravy sauce is delicious! Cocktails are great and they have a great wine selection. It’s a bit pricy but absolutely worth it!!

In my opinion this is by far the best restaurant in Djibouti which serves a lot of dishes ranges from Djibouti’s signature seafood to grilled meat and everything just taste superb. With extremely high quality of hospitality, you will surely have amazing time here.

Absolutely loved this place. The steak was cooked perfectly and the tiger prawns were succulent. The house Chardonnay was really good. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

The owner tried to move the tables in line with each other when I was there, being so careful about the details was a good sign about the food quality.
The steak with roque fort cheese sauce was simply amazing, love every detail of it.
The only awkward moment I had, I asked the waiter if I could use credit card here, I know it’s not a norm in Djibouti but some high end restaurants (and Bawadi Mall) accept Visa card. The waiter said yes, so I happily ordered food because I didn’t have much DFr left.
When I paid the bill, the waiter told me that I could “use” the credit card here by going outside and get money from the ATM. Luckily I still had a 100 US dollar bill, so I didn’t have to end up washing dishes there. But it would be nice if I could be informed more clearly.

The BEST French cuisine in Djibouti. Great atmosphere, delicious food with a great menu, and excellent service. You’ll definitely pay a premium here but it’s worth it. We had a party of eight so I was able to try a lot of different food, and it was ALL good! I ordered a calamari app and a medium rare steak paired with a bottle of red. I ended up trying several different apps… escargot, large and small mussels, and ceviche. Again, everything was delicious. Next time I go back I’ll order the prong. Several party members ordered it and said it was awesome. To cap off the evening the owner (she’s French) offered a cognac night cap on the house. Always a great experience when we eat here.
