Hidden down quite a bit of stairs is a tucked away, pretty small, dark restaurant. Food was good – We started with the baked clams, which were a bit charred but delicious nonetheless. For my main I had linguine with clams (couldn’t get enough clams, clearly). The pasta dish was phenomenal – loaded with clams and garlic. We finished our meal with the NY style cheesecake (not on the menu) which we could’ve done without…Not the best but not the worst. Our waiter was lovely and knowledgeable, said he’s been working there for 20+ years. Feel as though I should note it would be very difficult for a physically disabled person to enter this establishment.

i love everything about this place. it’s a classic, old school, italian american restaurant, with great dishes, friendly servers, a great vibe, and strong cocktails. it’s not sceney but very authentic, i’ll take this any day of the week.

I first came to Café Continental 52 years ago when I was a little kid. Had an incredible dinner there last night. Great service. Delicious food. Huge menu full of so many options. I can’t wait to return and plan on being a regular customer.

We heard a lot about this place and made reservations for dinner. The place was really busy and quite loud. We had some trouble getting service. It seemed as though the regular customers were getting all the attention. We really began to feel like we were intruding. Not a comfortable feeling. The service we did receive was indifferent and not friendly. Maybe Cafe Continental has all the customers it needs and they are not accepting new ones.

Absolutely amazing. What more is there to say? We were greeted by the Maitre D’, James, who treated us like family. Our waiter, Robert, went above and beyond with the service he provided us. The food is beyond DELICIOUS. An overall exceptional dining experience. Recommend without any doubts.

Beautiful ambiance, cozy atmosphere. Authentic homemade Italian food all freshly made . Just fabulous and the staff was impeccable. Robert our Waitor is fabulous too. My family and I will be back.

Everything we had was incredible, and the service was outstanding. Both servers were also very kind and considerate of my toddler, which was huge for us. Every single dish, from the burrata to the handmade pappardelle, was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!
