My husband picked this place because he saw good coffee and great Eggs Benedict on the review mentions (I’m a sucker for good eggs benny) and these were hands down the BEST eggs Benedict I’ve ever had! I upgraded to the pork belly option and it was phenomenal.

Hubby got the breakfast burrito, our kiddo got the kids pancake meal. One of the best finds we’ve made!

I wish I had known about this place sooner! We had the Blueberry Ricotta French Toast, Simpleton, and Coda Benedict. All were so good, but the star of the show was the French Toast. It was so airy, and the blueberry and ricotta meshed together perfectly.

There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. They even have a small arcade. Lots of parking. The staff is friendly. Also, the espresso beverages are good!

I definitely recommend this spot for a brunch outing!

My first experience at this restaurant. I had the Smokehouse B&G. Excellent! Homemade biscuits are delicious, more than just flour and milk.
The sausage gravy also spot on! Potatoes were crispy and my overeasy eggs were perfect. A delicious meal!

I came for a casual breakfast. I left in a committed relationship with the Wise Guy, don’t tell my therapist. That pork belly? Tender like it listened to Sade all morning. The rice? Fluffier than my emotional support dog. I got a bite of my daughter’s boyfriend’s Chilaquiles was like a Latin soap opera in my mouth: spicy, dramatic, and oddly healing- he even ate the black beans. The bite of my daughter’s chimichurri chicken sandwich whispered sweet herby nothings with every flavor. I considered eloping with it to a quiet cabin in the Redwoods with Cafe Coda, you didn’t have to go this hard, but I’m so glad you did.

Some surprisingly good breakfast in Chico! I got the Lavender Honey Latte and the Chilaquiles, both were very good, only thing it was missing was a little salt but you can add that yourself. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Menu seems decently diverse, they even have a small separate menu with vegan options. Would come again!

There were 3 of us and they had us wait 20 mins. They had two empty tables and the back room empty. Why were we waiting????? Food was good!!!

We went here with a friend on his recommendation about having the best French toast in Chico…. A few people were lining up outside before they opened and a lot of people said that was a regular occurrence..
The staff was great and the place had a great vibe but….
Their food was just okay. The hash brown’s kind of ruined the whole thing for me. You know the dried up twigs that fall off of a Redwood tree when it’s dried up that’s what I felt my hash brown looked like they were so overcooked that you could not eat most of it. The center of the hash browns was edible and that was it.

I ordered the Nutella French toast and it was good but they must use an off-brand chocolate because it doesn’t taste like Nutella. So I even asked for extra on the side just to really check which they unfortunately charged more for where most restaurants don’t do so and it confirmed my initial findings. But other wise the brioche French toast was delicious.
In my party, we also ordered the ‘wise guy’ which was really good and it comes with a spicy soy sauce which is essentially sliced jalapeños in soy sauce which was flavorless. If they added an acidic component in the sauce, I think it could pair better with the dish. They even charged extra when we asked for extra soy sauce and they brought the bottle out because we just wanted to see what kind of soy sauce they used.
So please be wary they will charge extra for sauce which I believe should be complimentary to whichever dish you ordered.
