We went there for our valentines day dinner for the first time and it was a good experience. Food was great and plentiful. Prices is on the higher side but its typical for a nice dinner. Flavors were great. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The only thing I would critique about the place is they should take reservations. You will have to wait for a awhile if you dont get there early or really late but it does have a nice view in the back if you’re waiting. They only serve beer and wine so that was a bummer. Other than that..overall experience was great.

A unique dining experience at the beach. Authentic German beer and food with excellent service and a beautiful view of the river. I had the Pilsner, Goulash, and fish dip, all the food was great!

We stopped in to enjoy a bottle of wine and the amazing sunset. The service was excellent! Everyone was professional, friendly, and efficient. The restaurant has a very robust wine list. The sunset views, a bottle of wine, and great friends make a perfect evening.

We had a nice experience and the view of the bay was really lovely. We all started with the house salad and bread service which comes with all entrees. The salad wasn’t anything special and I couldn’t figure out the dressing but it was creamy. Our entrees included roasted pork shank, Wiener schnitzel with peppercorn sauce, goulash and breaded chicken breast. Everything was excellent including the side of spatzels, which were on the dense side. We ordered the Black Forest cake to go and it had almost no flavor, which was a disappointment. Service was good but the food does take some time to come out but the salads came out quickly. We would return as each entree was excellent.

This was our first time here and celebrated our 19th Anniversary. So glad we chose Cafe Coconut Cove. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. I had the Pineapple Melt and my husband had the weiner schnitzel. So flavorful and delicious. Great relaxed atmosphere. Get there early as they don’t take reservations!

5 Stars – Authentic German Excellence in the Heart of Melbourne!
Coconut Cove is a delightful surprise—a true German culinary experience tucked away in Florida. From the moment you arrive, the staff welcomes you with warm smiles and impeccable service. They’re attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely passionate about sharing German hospitality.
The food is outstanding. Every dish—from the perfectly crisp schnitzel to the rich, savory sauerbraten—is crafted with authentic flavors and care. The bratwurst is grilled to perfection, and the sides (especially the red cabbage and spaetzle) taste just like they came from a kitchen in Bavaria. And don’t skip the apple strudel—it’s heavenly.
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with charming German décor that adds to the experience. Whether you’re a longtime fan of German cuisine or trying it for the first time, Coconut Cove delivers a memorable meal with heart and heritage.
Prost to great food, great service, and a little slice of Germany right here in Melbourne! ️

I wish I could give this restaurant ten stars! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was intimate with beautiful views of the river, and our server was on point and very knowledgeable. We started with the potato pancakes appetizer. Next was our salads, which were simple, but so flavorful. For our entrees my husband had the pork shank with red cabbage and potato pancake. I selected the pineapple melt, which was pork tenderloin with melted smoked gouda cheese, pineapple and asparagus. Both our dishes were amazing and bursting with flavor. The portion sizes were large as well, so we felt you get your money’s worth. For dessert we picked the apple strudel and black tie cake. As you can see from the pictures, they were excellent as well. We only spent around $150.00. Not bad for an appetizer, salads, bread, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and 2 glasses of wine. Plus we had leftovers for the next day! Make the drive and give this place a try. You will not regret it.

Very good food but very slow service. We went as a group of seven and got there when they opened at 4pm to ensure getting a table. We ordered drinks and some appetizers which. The potatoe panels were very good. We ordered our main courses and proceeded to wait over 50 minutes. The food was very good. I had one of the veal schnitzel dishes with mushrooms, a potatoe cake and sweet pea pods. My wife had the grouper schnitzel and it was very good as well. Others had the Combination dish and all seemed to like it. For dessert, I had the apple studel with ice cream which was nice but should have been served hot. I thought the crust was more pie like than strudel. My wife had the carrot cake and she really liked it. Overall a nice meal.
