Café Chinois has some of the best Thai food in Wilmington. The flavors are rich, fresh, and clearly made with care — everything tastes authentic and well balanced. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and the dishes are consistently satisfying.

Service is friendly and welcoming, and whether you’re dining in or getting takeout, the experience is always solid. It’s a go-to spot when I’m craving really good Thai food. Highly suggest ordering to go on DoorDash because the food will be presented well and taste great.

Great dinner spot. My favorite dishes are the Pad Thai and Green Curry, you can’t go wrong with those! The overall design of the main dining room adds so much to the overall experience. Such an enjoyable atmosphere as well as the enthusiastic employees who are always willing to make suggestions. Service can be a little slow at times but that’s the only note. Not only do they have a vegetarian portion of the menu but they also have mocktails?! What more could you ask for! I haven’t had the time to try all the mocktails but the two I have had were not only delicious but also aesthetically pleasing.

I am so glad I asked Google Maps to suggest a new restaurant we’ve never tried before!! We love Indochine and had no idea this place existed!! They’re portions are large!

Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, and Fan-Freaking-Tastic food!

If you love Indochine, then check this place out!
Pine Valley ‘s got it going on!!

We ordered the Appetizer Special, Beef Bulgogi, and Cho Cho Salmon Curry with Treasure Rice.

Abso-freaking-lutely amazing. 10/10 would go again. The yellow curry was absurdly delicious. Im thai and to say authentic taste, is the least I could say. My boyfriends socks were blown off by the Asian southern chicken. I personally didn’t care for it, but everyone’s tastes are different. Fast efficient service. Our waiter was fantastic. Seriously looking forward to our next visit!! Try the kimchi if you like spicy!!

Had a great dinner at cafe chinois! All the food I tried was delicious. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken and Thai iced tea for myself. Loved my dish and the tea was good too. We also shared the chicken egg rolls which came with a really good sauce. I tried a bite of the Vietnamese crepe that was really good as well. Everything came fresh and quick as well. Service was great and it was a good meal overall.

This place is AMAZING. We’ve eaten at Thai places all over the US (we live in a van) and this is in my top 5 for sure. We got the Cha Gio (egg rolls) as an app. It came w Thai basil and some lettuce to wrap it in. Crispy, amazing, flavorful and the sauce was delectable. My mom got a salad that had very well seasoned ground chicken that also came w lettuce to wrap it in. The drunken noodles were good and great portion for a lunch special, but not the very best I’ve had. But the curry was SHINING OUT!! So thick, very large pot of it, absolutely stacked w veggies and protein! I always love when I can take a portion of it home!! For dessert we did the Mango sticky rice and the chocolate mousse cake. The chocolate was much more decadent and rich than we were expecting, exceeded expectations for sure. Our server Tony was very attentive and knowledgeable not just about the menu but also about the art we were surrounded by! Highly recommend this place, I wish I lived around here so I could have it more!!

My husband and I eat here at least once a month and we have never had an experience less than amazing! This is truly one of the only places in the area we do not get sick of. This is the place we bring friends and family when they are in town visiting. The food is just top notch and the flavors are heavenly. I have not ordered a single thing here that I wouldn’t recommend. I have now tried countless menu items and I am yet to eat something that doesn’t wow me! The best curries in town (hands down), the best noodle dishes, and the best soups. The vibe here is excellent form the incredible art down to the cute water glasses. The cocktails are always great too. The staff is always so kind and helpful. We LOVE this place!

Wait what… an exceptionally flavored dish, but completely vegan and a surprisingly unique noodle dish…. Yes, it’s a MUST TRY if you visit Wilmington, NC…. Nope, I didn’t order it on my first visit, I stayed safe with my vegan choices, ordering the mixed vegetable which was delicious slightly spicy as expected if you’d like to stay in their traditional vegetarian lane . I was raving to friends and they insisted I go back before writing a review…. To try…SLAM!!! Korean Japchae….. sweet potato noodles, tofu, green onions, snow, peas, bok choy, wood ear shiitake mushroom, soy sauce, vegan, and a sesame oil…. That doesn’t describe it. You’re gonna have to come check it out for yourself, once you do, you’ll be ordering it to go and telling your friends about it too. I’ve traveled all over but I’ll be visiting Cafe Chinois over and over I’m certain. If you’re curious about the bar menu, I highly recommend the white Lotus Vesper. Nothing like a little lychee purée mixed with your Kettle One, oddly, I expected it to be tremendously sweet, but it was not. It was just enough and the Tangueray Gin made for an Artsy finish.

I had such an amazing experience at this Thai restaurant! The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly kind and making sure we had everything we needed without being overwhelming. The food was absolutely delicious. You can tell everything is made with so much flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced — not too overpowering but still authentic and bold.

The Panang curry was creamy and spicy. Thai fried rice was equally delicious, with the perfect balance of spices and thai tea was one of the best with full of flavor( but quantity is less).
Papaya salad is also good.

Overall, the food was excellent, and I would highly recommend this place for anyone craving Thai cuisine.
