I was initally a hater because of the prices. I had just moved into the area and thought bomba was too rich for me.

But after ordering their coffee and a nice chat with their owner Hector, I decided to give the food a shot and im glad I did. The coffee was really good.

The portion sizes are huge here. Once the food came out I understood why the prices were what they were. If you have 2 people who aren’t heavy eaters you could easily share an entree and coffees and be good to go.

Also Hector gave me a bottle of his hot sauce on the house. Nice smokey and floral flavors. Might pick up a bottle when they reopen again.

My husband and I arrived at Café Bomba in the morning just to have a coffee. We sat down, were given a menu, and we explained that we only wanted coffee. At that moment, the waitress/cashier completely changed her attitude, going from friendly to visibly annoyed.

We were given our coffee and, within less than two minutes, the same woman came back with the card machine to charge us, even though I hadn’t finished my coffee yet. The situation made us feel uncomfortable, as if we were being rushed out simply for ordering coffee.

The service was very poor, with a clear lack of courtesy and professionalism. In addition, they do not accept cash—only cards—and charge an extra 3% fee.

Unfortunately, it was a very negative experience. I would give this place a 0.

Visited Café Bomba during the Christmas weekend and had a lovely breakfast experience. The outdoor seating was pleasant, especially on a sunny day, and they kindly accommodated our dog.

We tried Bomba Benedict and Banana Foster French Toast, which were tasty, accompanied by fresh veggies and fruits. The hot lattes were a nice addition. The waiter was friendly and welcoming, making it an overall enjoyable spot for a delicious breakfast.

The city view of Asheville was a lovely backdrop for dining outdoors – watching people come and go, families strolling the streets, and tourists exploring downtown added to the charm.

Would recommend to anyone who’s looking for a chill and dog-friendly place with great food & coffee options and nice views.

Wow so good, what a great place. Food was incredible. Had pancake breakfast and the Arepa corn cake. Title does not describe how much food you get So delicious, tons of food. House made chorizo and bone in chicken were amazing.

My husband and I cannot say enough AMAZING things about this place! We came to Asheville on a honeymoon weekend and came for coffee one morning and breakfast another. It gives NYC vibes. Sebastian is such a kind and detail oriented server and made the experience even better. The food was fresh and full of flavor, the coffee even more so. I highly recommend the Cafe con Leche! We will be coming back here for years to come. Incredible!!!

WOW!! Just go here now! So many choices for breakfast in Asheville I was overwhelmed. So glad we chose Bomba. We had 3 different brunches, everything was so flavorful and fresh! Loved the food. Sebastian was our server and he was a delight offering a great personality and excellent service! We sat outside with a lovely breeze and fun people watching. Bomba is delicious and well worth the reasonable brunch price for the area. All brunch items were $17 so it took price out of the equation for choosing. We will be back!

I have visited this restaurant twice during the last third week of May. The food is from the Mexican , central , and South America cusines.
The meals are delicious , blending between meat , and vegetables. A good portion too.
Excellent service. The only problems are that , the cafe is small, and usually it’s crowded, and parking is not easy in this part of Downtown Asheville.

We first visited 4 years ago and were immediately impressed by their menu and service. The experience was so good that I knew that on my next trip to Asheville, I would return. We returned 2 years in a row just to find out that it was temporarily closed. Happy to see them back. We tried a few of their new menu dishes and they were all amazing. Back tomorrow for their shrimp Chilaquiles during brunch. Without a doubt one of the very best restaurants in Asheville.

We had brunch here around 10am on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. There was enough delay before being greeted by our waiter that we had looked over the entire menu and went ahead and ordered food with our drinks. Everything came out in a reasonable time. The French toast only comes with 1 piece which is unfortunate because it was very good. The eggs were under seasoned, but the portions were very generous because of the amount of sides given. All of the food was good but you are definitely paying a premium for the location and atmosphere (eating outside on a patio downtown).

I came here to eat breakfast with my Malamute, cat and girlfriend. I walked in ahead to make sure pets were allowed and they gave me a nice corner table. The food was AMAZING, probably the best breakfast spot I have ever been too and for sure the best food I had while I was in Asheville. I got the Indio Viejo and my GF got the French toast. Would highly recommend the Carajillo it kept me nice and warm the whole day.
