Sit in the first cafe area for brunch, coffee or wine. Sometimes there is love music. Dogs are friendly too.
Restaurant area is beautiful. The staff are so friendly and the food is excellent.
Bring friends, sit with a book, or even a work meeting. This venue is perfect.
Delicious, charming and lovely. The staff treated me so nice and the coffee and dessert were great. I’ll be back, guys!
Just across the road from the Prince Edward Theatre, Café Boheme brings a touch of France to the heart of Soho. With its charming Parisian décor and soft French jazz playing in the background, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed pre-theatre meal.
What we ate:
Entrée: Soupe à l’oignon — quite simply the best French onion soup I’ve ever tasted!
Plats:
Saumon, sauce gribiche — beautifully cooked salmon with a crisp skin and a lush, tangy sauce.
Moules marinière avec frites — plump mussels in a creamy white wine sauce, classic and comforting.
Bavette avec frites dijonnaise — perfectly cooked medium-rare steak with a punchy mustard sauce.
Everything was paired wonderfully with a French Sauvignon Blanc, adding a bright note to the meal.
The service was attentive and friendly throughout — professional yet relaxed, just as you’d expect from a true French brasserie.
A delightful experience and an ideal choice before catching a show at the theatre.
Tip – Booking is necessary.
Staff were very lovely to deal with from the moment we arrived.
The food and drinks was great too.
I’m not really a fan of French food and was only eating there as a friend wanted to have Steak Tartare, which he really enjoyed.
Unfortunately, I had quite a limited choice of what I fancied eating from the menu. I thought about having an omelette but in the end I chose the Poulet and Frits, which was very tasty.
I won’t be returning, but my friend certainly will.
Service charge of 13.5% was steep taking everything into consideration.
