Got the lemon French toast which is a very good portion – 3 thick pieces of bread. What really liked was there was a layer of blueberries in between the slices, not just sprinkled on top. Friendly service and never made you feel rushed. Looking forward to trying more here

Great local spot for brunch. The photos and previous reviews looked so wonderful, so my wife and friends gave it a shot. We were pleasantly surprised by everything. I got myself the Spanish frittata, and it was delicious! My only criticism is the shaken espresso could have used more espresso and less milk. Otherwise fantastic little cafe here in Hillsborough.

Great brunch menu with a lot of options, and the menu is pretty different every time I come here. Very quick, generous and attentive staff. Food was cooked well and full of flavor.

This spot is a really cute little gem in Hillsborough offering an enticing variety of food options. I loved the decor and the staff was friendly and attentive. My friend and I split the gattò di patate which was so creamy and flavorful, but also quite filling! For brunch I then ordered the croissant panino with fries- all of which was fantastic. I do wish the sandwich had some more balsamic glaze on it, but I enjoyed everything else about it. The fries were also fresh and crispy. I’m definitely interested in coming back to try more of their menu!

This is an excellent place to have breakfast, lunch or brunch, with wonderful service provided by the waitstaff! My friend and I enjoyed brunch in their cute, cozy and clean dining space. Their meals are both one of a kind, yet classic and authentic Italian dishes. I was really impressed with the beautiful way they presented each dish, making this even more exciting and satisfying to eat. Beyond the aesthetic look of the dishes, everything tasted so fresh and enjoyable.
The berry crostini was a “wow” of different flavors with the burrata, sweet berries, and chili infused hot honey drizzle all blending together well. The burrata bruschetta is essentially summer on fresh Italian bread. The simplicity of the burrata and tomatoes were a winner in my book. The eggs in purgatory (uova in purgatorio) was a light yet savory dish bursting with flavor from the vibrant tomato sauce. My friend loved her lemon French toast and had zero complaints. Finally, the gnocchi carbonara were soft, fluffy clouds of perfection, melting in my mouth with each bite.
I am a big fan of this spot after our amazing meal. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great place to eat!

Amazing!! Stopped by Cafe Basilico for brunch, and it did not disappoint. The lemon French toast was super tasty— not too sweet. The pesto chicken sandwich was next-level good and great portions.
If you’re looking for a solid brunch spot, this place is definitely worth a visit. Efficient service, good ambiance, and great food. Highly recommend!

My new favorite brunch spot in the area. And with THE most creative menu, too. Don’t expect to get a cheese omlette here. Not going to happen.
However, you can get an amazing Breakfast Frittata in a Skillet (see photo). Big and Delicious!! The Breakfast Potatoes are great, too, (photo). Yum My buddy had a very creative two eggs poached in a warm Marinara sauce (photo). He raved about it.
And, oh yes, the coffee is great, too.

Stopped in for some good eats, and good eats is what we got! We tried the Roman Bruschetta, Tiramisu French Toast, Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and The Grumpy – rustic hero. Everything was delicious and the servers were warm and friendly. They made sure we were well taken care of. We will definitely be coming back for more!

Small, family owned business.
Reading the menu will make you drool, but when you get there and the menu comes to life it DOES NOT disappoint.
The restaurant is tastefully decorated, the menu items are gorgeously presented, the desserts and coffees are delicious, heck we even loved the pretty water glasses we drank out of.
They have multiple gluten free options and multiple types of gluten free bread. Our two appetizers were made on gluten free bread and you could not even tell the difference.
** Bring wine. Bring Prosecco. They have the juices to make a mimosa or a bellini on their menu.

A true hidden gem here in Hillsborough! My coworkers and I just had a delicious lunch here. We had The pizza fritta, Burrata bruschetta, and crispy Brussel sprouts to start. I had the grumpy sandwich…to die for!!! Cannot wait to go back and try brunch items.
