But all I can say about this place is wow, just come if you never had it, looking for a new spot. The food is so good, hot, and juicy. Like I’m coming back tomorrow type good
Three of us recently stopped in to try it out, and we were generally impressed. The cashier immediately greeted us and was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is spacious and very clean, and the staff were accommodating.
My fellow food explorers ordered the doner wrap combos with fries and a drink, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Keeping it low-carb as usual, I opted for the salad, adding the beef & lamb and feta cheese. The salad itself was a satisfying portion with a decent mix of lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, a pepperoncini, plenty of red onion (which I appreciated, but you may not!) all dressed with tzatziki.
My only complaint, and the reason for the 4 stars (4.5 if I could), is that they laid the tzatziki on thick. I know, I know, who complains about too much sauce? While tasty, it heavily masked the flavors of everything else, especially the beef & lamb.
The salad was $7.50, and the added beef & lamb was $4.50, with a $1.00 upcharge for the feta, bringing my total to $13.00 plus tax. Just a heads up, the feta is not included in the salad or wraps, despite what I thought. The combos were $13.50 ($14.50 with the feta addition) plus tax.
Overall, it was a positive experience and I’d recommend giving Cafe Baklava a try!
