Fabulous little gem of a restaurant tucked in the basement of the Lighter museum. This area used to be an indoor pool back in the early 1900s and has since been converted into a ballroom. Beautiful surroundings, gorgeous lighting and white linen cloths, lends to the atmosphere of a very special meal. Both my husband and I enjoyed our dishes. The menu is small and be prepared the location is quite cold. We both really enjoy the atmosphere and will be back.

Fantastically unique. The Chicken Club was to die for ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the staff was amazingly friendly all smiles and service. This has to be one of my top reviews. It may not be for you but it definitely pleased me and the wife.

St. Augustine have great food in general, but this place was extra special, because it’s located inside the Lighter museum, exactly where the luxury former pool was. You are literally eating inside the pool, while you listening the most beautiful piano music live. French dishes. Scargots was yummy and so the seafood pasta. They close at 3PM and there is a few tables, so they said reservation is recommended. We couldn’t make reservation, because the system wasn’t working, but they accommodate us. Staff was very very nice too. Don’t miss this gem after you enjoy the museum.

This was our favorite dining experience while visiting the Jacksonville area. We like to ask the locals and we were given the number for this gem to call and make a reservation. The food and history was amazing!! Cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding. This was also priced very reasonably for the quality of food served.

It’s interesting to be inside this old hotel, but the restaurant didn’t have all the entrees and it was very cold. Not as spectacular as anticipated. We’re still glad we did it on our third visit to St Augustine because we were very curious! You actually can go in (use the restaurant pool door entrance), and look around and not eat. There’s some pretty artwork on the second floor. The restaurant did have interesting cocktails however!

We ate here for lunch and it was fabulous. Sarah was our waitress and she was so attentive and nice we just had to write a review. She explained everything about the unique pool we were dining in to making sure we had our leftovers securely packed up and even offered to hold them there while we shopped. The whole experience was fun from beginning to end and the food was outstanding. We tried the escargot, and chicken curry salad and a chicken sandwich that was so fresh and delicious. We decided to write about it. We will definitely go back again and advise everyone to try it. You will not be disappointed. It’s great food and a great atmosphere, the place is absolutely gorgeous inside.

I never knew this gem existed! The girls and I loved checking out a historic spot on the fringe of St. Augustine’s hustle and bustle. Food and service was good. I tried the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, which was delicious. We sat in what used to be a casino pool. We each received a postcard upon leaving, showing what it looked like back in the day. Very cool spot.
