CAFE AHORA is a vision of THE Holden Brewing Company, LLC. We are a locally family owned and operated small business. Our desire was to bring RAW native beans from remote areas of the world for the creation of our specialty coffee blends. These tropical coffee blends have become the backbone and concept of THE CAFE AHORA INTERNATIONAL COFFEE HOUSE. The challenge was importing the coffee beans straight off the plants, then roasting the beans locally. One taste of the many CAFE AHORA blends will surely create a bond, one of happiness and euphoria. Gladly serving Bolivia, St. James Oak Island, and Southport.

I am beyond impressed with this shop. I’m from out of town and I was visiting some friends in town and they recommended going to Ahora and I pleased from the moment I walked in the door. We were greeted with the warmest welcome from the young man at the cash register. I was impressed with the reasonably low prices and the taste of the coffee. I was also impressed with the extremely vast menu and many options they had for the beverages. If you are visiting or are a local, I 100% recommend trying this place!

We visit NC often from Seattle, and we’re so blown away with this cafe!! Customer service, selection, everything was impressive. We ordered a few iced americanos and an iced latte, all were fantastic- the espresso was fresh, smooth, and strong. They also offer their cold brews and sweet teas in the fridge to go which we picked up a few of as well. We even got “coffee ice” which they offer in iced drinks- frozen coffee to keep your drink from getting watered down!

We stopped in on the way to the beach and it’s now going to be part of our beach trips. We got 2 different coffees (ice latte and a blended coffee) and a donut. Donut wasn’t bad but the coffee was incredible! So many choices. It was clean and everyone was really nice. Pictured is an iced latte with the business card they handed me.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Plenty of seating and work areas. Lots of drink customizations available and tasty flavors. Drinks were well made, although on the sweeter side, so just something to keep in mind if you want less syrup. My amaretto latte was delicious. Prices were reasonable.

The staff was very friendly, but the coffee was not great. I got a iced coffee with hazelnut flavoring added. It tasted like chemicals. And it was only mine. My daughters also each got an iced coffee, different flavors and theirs was fine. I tasted theirs and also had my husband taste mine to make sure it wasn’t my taste buds being off. He even said it tasted like chemicals.

The BEST coffee in the area! I’ve been disappointed in my coffee all week at other places, always watered down. Cafe Ahora was a breath of fresh air on our way home. I got an iced caramel latte with coffee ice cubes. Not too sweet, super creamy, and delicious

Tasted like drinking a cup of milk. Was supposed to have espresso in it. Went back to my friends house and we added espresso to it to give it some taste. For over $6 a cup, I expected decent coffee. Also, the person that made my drink was rude for no reason.
