This place was recommended to us. Stopped by on our way out of town. Got there right when they opened. My daughters pancakes were a little burnt. Sons waffles with fresh peaches was really good. Both kids loved the homemade whip cream.

Cafe 22 has friendly staff, decent size menu, reasonable prices, clean and cute environment, and delicious and fast food. There were at least 5 regulars who came in when we had lunch, and the staff knew their names and orders, which I always think is a good sign of a restaurant. A couple who hadn’t been there before came in confused about if it was self seating or wait to be seated, so just check in with staff since it seems to change. The water was odd tasting, and my friend couldn’t tolerate it at all. I will go back since it’s such a great location and to try their breakfast menu!

1st time going here but experience was outstanding, employees was kind, professional and never allowing our drinks go empty. I got the BBQ beer battered onion burger which was amazing and filled me up well. Pricing was great, not too expensive and served high quality food, I can definitely tell these people have a lot of pride in there work on which I made sure I bought one for my fiancé for her to eat at home before I left. I definitely want to come back here for lunch again.

Nice chill atmosphere. I got the half order of biscuits and gravy with bacon and eggs. Food was delicious cooked everything just right and had lots of flavor. Bacon was thick and crispy. The ladies working the bar/counter could have been more attentive to people walking in to place an order to-go. Even if it was just a quick greeting and saying someone would be right with me instead of ignoring the person who walks in until they can help them.

Stop ready this and go, go now. If they are closed wait until they are open. This place is so amazingly good. I got me the chicken fried steak with a jalapeño biscuit and country potatoes… I’m writing this and drooling. So good, there were waffles ordered at the table with their peaches and they were some of the best peaches I’ve ever had on waffles . I can’t say enough good about this place, the food was great and the servers were great(er) .

Our first time at Cafe 22 West. The food was delicious and fresh. You can tell the produce is coming from the farm stand that is attached and it’s delicious. Service was slow but the food was not. We shared a reuben with a side of fries, onion rings and salad. All were delicious but the onion rings are particularly noteworthy. The atmosphere is wonderful right near the Willamette River and the start of wine country in West Salem. We will definitely come back for more!

The waitress suspiciously charged us double. They didn’t catch such an obvious mistake and we weren’t given an itemized bill. When we asked someone about it they said it was in the computer as a dinner charge, also suspicious as they don’t serve dinner. Watch out at this place!! However, the food is good.

Giving a 3 star based on the hostess…maybe a newbie, but very timid and must have been instructed to not seat people certain places. Watched several people unable to sit where they wanted on the patio ( shade vs. sun). Also, slow in seating people. Food is great and the waitress was friendly.
