This restaurant was in an awesome location right across from the train station. The atmosphere was definitely relaxed and a plate was actually very large parking was a little bit of a pain, but you were able to park on the street after you drove around for a minute. The service was really great. I forgot our server’s name, but she was fantastic. She was on top of her game for sure because we sat at the table right by the bar. The people I was with had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly the fish which he said was awesome and he gets it every time he goes there and I had a short rib which was delicious. It was so filling I couldn’t even finish it. The truffle fries were outstanding along with the meatballs, which were small, but we’re pretty good. I would definitely recommend this place. If you were in town the prices weren’t too bad, but definitely not cheap.

Wow what a treat! I have the organic chicken and it was absolutely delicious. It was so juicy and flavorful. My friend had the octopus and it was some of the best octopus I’ve had! They cooked it beautifully. It wasn’t rubbery at all. I was very impressed with how fast everything came out and just overall atmosphere. They had a new tables off to the side and I honestly appreciated them because I was just walking around and seeing who had availability for two, and I was glad that they had those new spots because they were able to just sit us right down. I’ve been before and enjoyed it, but this time was especially enjoyable! My friend had a mocktail. It was very tasty and the cocktails are always good. Will be back soon.

We had our DGN high school reunion there. The service was slow but he was awesome! I decided to order my own dinner cuz the party food wasn’t what I wanted to eat, looked ok tho. I was extra nice to the bartender but he wasn’t that friendly, probably cuz our party was overwhelmingly needy. I ordered the skirt steak and potatoes. FANTASTIC! Quite garlicky but ok with me. The old fashion’s were delicious.

We used a reserved room for a briday shower. I can’t say enough good things about our entire experience. Abby was our event coordinator and was excellent to work with from start to finish. Whenver we had a question she was extremely quick to respond and helped in every way possible. The day of the shower we had Andrew as our server. Again, I can’t say enough good things . . . . he was extremely attentive to our every need during the shower without making his presence known. He was very kind to us all and so helpful when needed. We had our lunch served family and all food was served promptly in a timely manner and was oh so delicious! Everyone at Cadence Kitchen that we interacted with was so very kind and helpful. Thank you for making our family bridal shower so easy and comfortable for us to host.

We started off with drinks, and the server/bartender’s attention to detail was next to amazing truly some of the best drinks I’ve had in Illinois.
I ordered the skirt steak medium, and while it was slightly more cooked than my preference, the way it was handled completely changed the experience. The chef personally came out, apologized multiple times, and re-presented my meal with such care and precision like the artist he truly is.
That level of service, accountability, and pride in the craft is rare. Between the exceptional drinks, thoughtful service, and professionalism, this is hands down one of the best restaurants in Illinois.
Will I come back? Absolutely.

The reservation was fine. We sat down and waited awhile for the waitress. She took our drink order. 10 minutes or so later, she comes back to the table without our drinks and asks if we want an appetizer, we ordered one. 10 minutes th appetizer comes, still no cocktails. Drinks show up about 10 minutes later when were half way done with the app. NO APOLOGIES! Then soup comes. Fine, 5 minutes later, the meal comes and my guest isn’t even close to finishing her soup. Isn’t that supposed to be timed better. My wife’s broccoli was way over cooked. For $25, my tenderloin dip sandwhich had very little meat. This is Chicago, home of the beef sandwich, very disappointed in the serving size. I give all placed 3 tries. This was my third, not coming back. First two weren’t as disappointing, but there is no value to this place and I can’t say the food is spectacular, it’s above average. While the atmoshpere is great, for the price you pay, class the joint up and put the wait staff in uniforms.

Sunday we had our daughter and husband’s baby shower at Cadence Kitchen & Co. downtown Downers Grove. Everything about Cadence is top notch! The entire establishment has a wonderful vibe, great food, drinks and the gathering space was perfect. Special thanks to Abbey and the rest of her team Zack and Lauren for making it such a wonderful day.
