This was an amazing experience—not just a meal. Bob, the owner, is hilarious and hospitable and was very accommodating. He was also very attentive to food allergies. We got the Ribeye Steak Sandwich and the Hawaiian Chicken Salad. The sandwich was AMAZING—the bun was soft and buttery, and the meat perfectly combined with the melted cheese, onions, mushrooms, and peppers (red, yellow, green, and orange!). The salad was by no means fancy, but it was extremely refreshing and really tasty. Highly recommend!

Tired after a day hiking in Zion? Come see Bob. He made one of, if not the, best burgers I have ever had. The fries were delicious and hand cut. We were strictly told NOT to put ketchup on the burgers, as that would ruin his masterpiece. He was correct. I also got a local beer (delicious) and though we were too stuffed for desert, he had a list of about 8 homemade pies of the day. It’s hard to have a perfect 5 star rating and let me tell you, none of that rating is going to the atmosphere of the restaurant, which was eclectic to say the least. All five stars are earned from the delicious meal and the colorful chef!

So if you are looking at the one star reviews let me clear some things up. I’ve read most the reviews here (good& bad) I think most of them were in a rush or are used to basic chain restaurants.
Yes the food takes a bit longer to come out. The staff is eccentric.
This is a classic diner that Guy Fieri would love. If you’re looking for fast food or you’re on a tight schedule, go somewhere else. This place is one of a kind and is about the experience not a 30min meal service. The seats may be sticky but the food was delicious. What can I say but that you have to experience this place for yourself. Definitely the highlight of the weekend. Bob was fantastic. The mark 1 sandwich was one of the best things I’ve put in my mouth. Be warned the waitress will make fun of you if you order an IPA… all in good love. Love this place. Will definitely be back!!

The buffalo and the beef burger were delicious! Even our vegetarian friends liked the veggie steak sandwich and the veggie burger. The keylime pie is a must have – but it was too much whipped cream on it for my taste. The homemade coleslaw was awesome and with Great service and entertainment we have received the ideal taste of beer. Only the restrooms were a mess…

I don’t know how to describe my experience at the Cactus Room other than it’s a scam. Bob, the owner, went on and on about his dessert menu. He said all of the pies were made that morning, and his favorite, apple pie, was his grandmothers recipe. Each slice of pie cost about $9, which is steep, but I was willing to pay after the raved about his homemade pies. When we got the pies they were Marie Calendar pies (we saw boxes in the fridge while leaving the restaurant). He just adds tons of whipped cream and powdered sugar on top to ensure the desserts are unrecognizable. Additionally we ordered bobs famous buffalo burgers. He went on and on about how they were locally sources and cooked to perfection. After trying the burgers I am highly skeptical. Also he didn’t let us put ketchup on the burgers or fries????? Finally, because this restaurant is also an antique store (???) I noticed a turquoise ring that I really liked and thought was absolutely beautiful. Bob PROMISED me the turquoise was real and vintage and the 90% of profits go back to the native community. I spent $90 on the ring only to discover later that it’s a fake. Quite honestly I feel robbed.

Bob is a fantastic host who passionately serves delicious food. The salad was fresh and tasty. The bison burgers are exquisite. They really pay attention to ingredients and cooking style. The dessert was delicious as well.

We had the buffalo beef burger to go and it was really good and tasty! The burger patty was tender and perfectly grilled. The fresh cut fries which came with it were seasoned perfectly. Would highly recommend their burger! While waiting, we were also allowed to shop around their vintage market inside the store. Bob was also an accommodating host! He described all the food in their menu succinctly which was helpful for us to decide which food to get!

I rarely write reviews but this place and it’s owner Bob are one of a kind.
We came here two nights in a row and had super delicious veggie burgers with hand cut fries!!
Bob also gave us the best tips for the park, we went there and it was amazing! No people and the best views!
But I won’t tell you where it was, you have to visit Bob and the Cactus Room yourself, ask him and try their delicious burgers!

Enjoyed coming here for their world famous Buffalo burgers! We also enjoyed the meatloaf and American Wagyu burger. Bob is friendly with great recommendations (no mustard or ketchup on his burgers) and a wide selection of pies! Loved the key lime, apple, and the brownie-chocolate pie.They were closed on the Monday, but we returned on Friday after a long hike in Zion.

This is not your typical restaurant. It’s insane but in a Good way. AJ was amazing and crazy all at the same time. Food came out when it was ready and not while it sat under a heat lamp. Everyone was real and not fake just for the tip.
If you want fast food crappy food this ain’t the place for you. If you want a home style crazy time this is the place.
