Stopped in for my first time this weekend for brunch and thought it was pretty good overall. Not the best that I’ve had recently, but definitely not the worst. I would classify this place as a little country diner, which is something that I am a big fan of. It’s quite small on the inside, but packed with character and I like how the tables are not too close together. Our server was polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. Parking in the area is pretty easy, we found a free street spot just around the corner.
I wanted to order one of their most popular dishes, so I chose the Country Fried Steak. I was not a huge fan of the gravy, but I thought the steak was cooked well and I would say that I enjoyed it. I also got a side of Biscuits, which comes with the meal, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of these. They weren’t fluffy or flaky , but more dense. More closer to a muffin. I was also not a big fan of the gravy so I didn’t enjoy that side as much as I thought I would.
Overall, I would definitely give this place another try sometime in the future and would suggest to anyone in the area searching for a little diner to have some breakfast.

The best breakfast spot in Mp! No doubt about it. The biscuits and gravy here, will be the best you’ve had in the west coast. Try them!

Drove a long distance just to be told we were not able to sit in a booth keep in mind the booth was empty we were told we were not able to sit there “Just in case “a large party would arrive, the table wasn’t reserved yet they had 1 person dining solo sitting at another booth. I guess they pick and choose. We did not feel welcomed at all.Not a pleasant experience will not come here nor do I recommend it.

This place is old by California standards and that’s a big part of it’s appeal. It’s quaint and quirky with a standard old time menu full of unhealthy delicious food. It has the worst men’s room ever and really needs to be torn down. All this said, I love this place and we have a weekend tradition of eating here.

I don’t even know where to begin on this place! It’s soooo good! I moved to the bay 3yrs ago, but keep coming back here every time I come to town.
If you like biscuits and gravy, try the Riley Special.
The 2+2+2 is also really good.
In all honesty, I’ve never walked out of The Patch unhappy.
If you visit Moorpark, you’ve gotta visit the Patch.

Love the place. I would take the train from Burbank to eat breakfast here all the time. Great breakfast however, came today and no country music, no music at all … I would love to see them bring back the music in the background, music ALWAYS adds so much ambience and changes the vibe completely, especially at a place like this. Please play the radio or tunes that match the atmosphere at this restaurant, makes the world of difference. Its way to quite now, library feel.

Biscuits and gravy was very good. Bacon was cooked to the perfect level. Hash browns I’d pass on next time a little undercooked for me.
