Ordered my food for the first time ever from Caccia’s Cherry Hill. Half a tray of Chicken Piccata, Chicken Cutlet and full tray of Penne Vodka. I’ve had their food before, from other gatherings I’ve attended, and it was good. People (some of my guests) referred me there so I thought ok I’ll order from them.
Now I’ve had chicken piccata before and it’s supposed to have lemon/lemon taste in it. Right? Well this one did not. It was more like a very tasteless Marsala. My guests barely ate, and had to settle for the dry chicken cutlet. Now I couldn’t complain on the day of because by the time we ate, Caccia’s was closed.
My husband called the following day and Steve returned our call and they spoke. All seemed understood and good. Now it was understood that we were going to get a refund, that’s what he said, a refund for the chicken that was barely eaten. Couple days went by and my husband was asked to pick up the envelope of cash for the refund. When we opened the envelope we find that we only received $30 back. According to Steve it’s because we ate half of it. Now that was not the understanding nor was that even explained when my husband and him first spoke. He claims now, after the fact, that it’s because it was half eaten. It was not half eaten as you can see from the picture below, (that pic was taken after the party was over) and there was still that dry chicken cutlet (which by the way we didn’t even complain about) left as you can see from the picture as well. My guests barely ate the chicken because not only was it not what we ordered but it was tasteless. Steve said well we ate half of it and it was edible so there you go. I said what choice did I have, you were closed and I had to feed my guests something. He said well it’s chicken piccata it’s just not the way you think it should be made, it’s made differently other places.
I said that’s fine. I’ll take my $30 and just not return and he said that’s fine, very obnoxiously and hung up. Cause he knows that business still keeps rolling in for their bread and pizza. So what’s one less customer. And honestly it’s not because of the money but more because of the misleading and attitude. So I’m glad I had my first and last experience with them, learned my lesson. Thanks for the tasteless food, which some of my guests, who are also customers of yours, but not anymore, said was tasteless and not piccata!! Finding out that sometimes the food is even inconsistent.
