Upon arrival mid-afternoon, there was a “please wait to be seated” sign, but no one acknowledged us for quite some time. Once seated, service continued to feel disorganized—drinks were mixed up, and our meals arrived out of order (one entrée came first, then the second, and the appetizer last).
I asked if the chips were fried in a dedicated fryer (concerned about cross-contamination); the server said yes, but they serve both corn and flour tortilla chips from the same kitchen. The complimentary salsa was a very small portion and tasted like generic store-bought.
The BBQ nachos (my ordering mistake—I missed that they’re made on flour tortilla chips) were unfortunately inedible for us: very sweet, Kansas City-style BBQ sauce on soft flour chips with chicken. We didn’t eat them.
The mixed fajitas had decently seasoned chicken, but the steak was completely unseasoned and the vegetables had no char or caramelization. My wife’s fajita taco salad was left unfinished and not worth taking home.
Overall, the food quality, seasoning, timing, and attention to detail fell far short for the price point. We won’t be returning.
$50 double steak and chicken fajitas to-go — and no tortillas in the bag. We were 30 minutes from home at 10 PM on a Sunday, with no stores open. Tortillas aren’t optional — they’re the entire foundation of fajitas.
When we called, Monica (the owner’s wife) said we could get a double order of tortillas next time — but only if we ordered fajitas again. That completely misses the point. What are we supposed to do with a double order of shells on a future visit — eat them plain?
They wouldn’t offer a partial refund, replace the full order with tortillas included, or even provide the tortillas we already paid for unless we came back and purchased again.
That’s not accountability. That’s expecting customers to spend more money to fix your mistake. Extremely disappointing customer service from the owners themselves.
