Flavors that stay with you beyond dinner! We walked in for a random date night & all I have to say is the ambiance really hugs you. The attention to detail really surprised us, There were dominoes scattered on the table (intentionally) & I hadn’t played in YEARS, such a cool touch. The Shrimp Monfongo is by far my favorite dish, the attention to detail in plating alone was awesome, definitely a must have. Cabo Rojo has become our little Puerto Rican kept secret for date night. If your ever in the Reno area your going to want to experience it for yourself, Thank me later!

I struggled to rate this experience because nothing was like I expected but the food was delicious. The tostones were greasier than I’ve had before and needed some salt, although the sauce was a 12 out of 10 -delicious! I ordered arroz con gandules but got the mofongo. Still delicious. Just not what I ordered.

The chef had a new year’s special for empanadas, tried them and they were so delicious. They were full of flavor.. can’t wait to have them again. I’ve also had the mofongo and it’s all truly so flavorful.

Wow! Where do I start…. This place is a hidden gem! Reno finally has legit Puerto Rican food and let me tell you the flavor and food is on point.
The chef always changes the menu weekly so there’s always something new to try but I’ve had the arroz con gandule and pernil plate, chicharrón con pollo and the picadura platter, wow it’s like an orgasm going on in my mouth transporting me to the island of Puerto Rico.
Hard to find good food out here in Reno and this definitely didn’t disappoint! You have to preorder for pickup it’s not your usual dine in place, but the owner/chef is working on opening a restaraunt soon!

The restaurant says it’s open on Google, but no one was there. The doors were open too. I sat down inside the restaurant waiting for someone to come take my order, and nothing happened. Couldn’t place an online order for pickup or delivery either.
