Lobsters were so small, fresh but not worth the cost. Chowder was tasty but lacking ingredients. Corn was not sweet it wasn’t good corn. Clams were a throwback didn’t eat them. Service was great from the boat caption to the young guy waiting our table.

It was a beautiful boatride to the island. The waiters were all very nice. The island itself was absolutely beautiful. My only issue, for someone who had never been there before, there was no instructions. What to do, where to go for the food, how long we had. The chowder was ok at best. The steamers were sweet and delicious. The corn over steamed and unfortunately the Lobsters were not sweet at all. I don’t know if I would do it again.

Cabbage Island Clam Bake was a great experience! My dad has been going for years and finally brought us along for the ride. The boat tour to the island was fun and relaxing with some interesting facts about the area on the way. As we pulled in you could see the staff cooking a feast on the shoreline. There was a small hiccup with table reservations but things happen. We ended up eating an incredible feast with great views of the water topped off with a nice sunset and the best blueberry cake desert thing I’ve ever had. The staff and owners were super friendly and accomodating as well as the many cats that roam the island. After dinner we walked off some weight with some exploring around the island. What a beautiful place! Wish we could stay longer. Altogether it was a great time and memories were made. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful experience and food! The boat ride tour through the harbor was interesting! Once we arrived, we found a seat and then we had a great server who took our drink orders and soon after brought fish chowder. Then, the horn blew and it was time to get our lunch. The line seems long but it moves so fast! They are experts at this and it is really remarkable. Lunch included 2 whole soft shell lobsters, steamers (whole belly clams) corn on the cob, a potato, a hard boiled egg, an onion and clarified butter. Water, and tea were included with the meal. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The lobster was tender and not cooked until rubber! After we ate, a piece of blueberry cake was brought to us and it was divine! Perfect day spend on the coast of Maine. FYI: Everything is cash only; which includes a bar on the boat, and drinks and anything in the gift shop (also don’t forget to tip your server) so bring some cash on your trip.

The booking had to be done about 3 months in advance to secure the timing and the date .Food was simple but delicious . The lobsters come in one softshell and one hardahell. Please bring cash. Tea, coffee and water are served free of charge. But of you like cocktails or soda they have it on the island. It was a unique experience. I’d definitely go another time.

Excellent adventure. Food was excellent and more than most people can eat, staff provides containers for leftovers. Staff was professional, respectful and truly cared about meeting your needs and wishes. The boat ride was very informative about Boothbay Harbor history with interesting facts about the area. Cabbage Island Clam Bake is a MUST DO when visiting Boothbay. A true taste of Maine and all it has to offer.
